Ok I have heard several times how privateer tier 4 missions are so hard you need a group to finish them usually starting after you have one box in it. Well I'm not sure what your all doing but I am currently 4/4/3/4 have done all the missions including the one that the guy gave me after i got my third box and I've done it all solo. I actually have so far considered tier 3 missions to be harder then the tier 4 missions and I've even did the tier 3 solo (granted died several times doing the tier 3 but still did em). Just wanted to let ya all know that itis possible to solo these missions. I will come back laterz to let ya know how I did in getting the Masters box whenI get it. Only 8300000 xp to go plus one more mission. (7500000 for Masters and 800k more for the last tier 4 box).

You don't need the 7.5M xp to make master, you just have to complete a tier 4 exit mission or two, then drop the Vette.

Talk to your trainer, he will provide you with the kessel/vette mission.

just proceed as normal

talk to your trainer and do all missions for her/him. after the exit mission you get transfered to another trainer (business as usual).

he gives you 2 missions:

1st. Kill 30 Ties (for Rebels, Smugglers and CorSec) or 30 Rebels (for Imps and RSF) in Kessel without dying.

2nd. Track down the Star Ravenger (Rebs) or a Rebel Corvette (Imps) and destroy it.

the 1st is quite easy. but bring some friends for the second.

Once again, people belonging to the smuggler's alliance can pick any 30 ships (any mixture of imps and rebel ships) to complete this mission. The do not have to be all rebel or all imps. They can be anything

i would have to disagree with you here, i soled SMA up to the vette, and it was VERY easy. If your having trouble on theexit missionthough, here are some tips:

1. i flew my rhix, mounted with REd reward shields, RE reward engine, RE level 6 cap, the RE reward gun and 2 more RE level 8 guns with weapon overload 3

2. the fighters are easy, they go down in a few shots if you have weapon overload 3

3. when going against the gunboat, it wont aggro you, so pull its escort away first and take of them, then do a full speed flyby on the gunboat, and if your shields and guns are powerful enough, youll come out on top

hope this helps

So the trick is to have RE'd components? Using the looted straight out of the box isn't good enough?

Well, RE'ed components can certainly be a LOT better.

Imagine that level 8 reward shield(2555/2555 post RE) with a 16 recharge.

Reverse engineeringdefinitely helps. After my first ace, I collected parts for a while and had a whole suite of nice RE'd stuff at all levels. When I used this stuff on my subsequent aces, the missions at all tierswere easy to the point of being boring.
