Bring a friend. If I'm not mistaken then that particular mission has fighters that attack you even while you're docking. Also, it wouldn't hurt to get better parts and a higher mass ship. A Kimogila might be a good choice, but since I fly Reb I wouldn't know. I was a Tier 4 pilot when I helped a friend with this missionso I turnedthose Black Suns into debris faster than they could spawn.

I just finished that one and what I did was ignore the fighters and docked hitting cap to shield shunt as needed. This is one of those rare missions where they will spawn nonstop so disableing them to slow spawns down doesnt work.

Yes it does, since that's exactly what I've done on several occasions.

General Tip: Don't lose track of where you need to get to in this mission, always keep moving toward it. The less time you take, the less waves that spawn. Disable and boost away to the wp. Use Iff scramble and run for the wp. If you are quick, its not an issue.

Obligatory Comment: Hypering insystem to fool the AI is a cheesy copout, do it if you like but it won't improve your piloting a smidgin. People who like this "tactic" or used it and take offense at my words always one star me when I say that in these threads (it comes up about once a week), but it's still true. This mission isn't hard to beat when you "keep your eye on the prize" I have done it solo with two different pilots with scrounged gear both times, and never failed it, and never hypered insystem.

/agree

When I help people in space, I always have the rule that they must destroy at least one ship per wave. Generally, I won't actually help unless they're in danger of failing the mission. If I do their mission for them, they'll never learn how to be a good pilot.

There's several ways to do this mission and it really depends on your style of flying and what you are flying. I chose to race to each waypoint, dock, race to next waypoint, dock and I only think I had to cap to shield shunt once the entire mission. I know I did break up the fighter groups several times just so they wouldn't nail me two at a time as they made passes while I was docking. Just hit them enough to break formation and race to waypoint.

There's only 30 seconds before shuttle spawns, rinse and repeat. Another thing i noticed is when you get system message about new mission or mission complete they lose agro on you so the faster you complete each docking the lessagro you get. Worked for me and i just did this one yesterday, now I'm waiting to do the corvette.

I am having the worst time with this mission. Most of my ship equipment is lvl 4 stuff and I use the Ihxen Fast Attack ship. I have tried this mission every which way I can think of. Does anyone know if there is some trick or some thing I may need to finish it. I keep getting overwhelmed with the black sun ambush vessels. Thanks in advance for any advice you all can offer me!

-Hey SOE, here's a novel idea. Instead of trying to get new customers to replace the lost ones. Try fixing the bugs so you get new customers and KEEP the old ones too! Next time you delete a post that puts SOE in a bad light, think about giving us reasons to put you in a good light instead. ...you see when someone buys the game it means they want to like it. When they cancel an account it means you made someone who liked the game dislike it. How's that good business again?
Where does a 90% drop is customer base equal good business? SOE
