The CSRs should be zeroing people without a problem. It's a known bug by now
It is a known bug by now, in fact it's even stickyed in this thread, so why is it the CSRs responsiblity to make up for a pilot's mistake? It's a 100% avoidable bug. It's a Known Issue with Pilots. CSRs have enough to do already without having to fix problems that pilots cause themselves. Players need to take some personal responsibility for their actions. Sure it's a bug, but it's something you can completely avoid. While it sucks the OP lost all that prestige, if he knew enough to post here complaining about it, he knew enough to read about the issue and avoid it before it happened. I really don't think CSRs should be blamed for a dev bug, nor held responsible for us players not avoiding it.
Say someone goes to K-Mart they buy a faulty item (one which is posted on the creators forums). You blame the person for not going out and reading the forums before doing every little thing?
Only found out about bug after it happened to me so have to live with it
P.S. 4.5 mill to go still no joy from ticket

The simple fact of the matter is we shouldn't have to avoid it. It's a bug in the code that SOE has provided for our use, for a nominal monthly fee. Not everyone knows about that bug, stickied here or not. Not everyone reads the forums, and obviously many MANY people don't read stickies considering how many times people ask where to get the JSF, how RE works, etc.
Hence it IS the CSRs responsibility to fix problems like this by zeroing exp or in this case prestige. A player sure can't do it themselves without spending lots of needless time grinding it out which, frankly, we shouldn't have to.
I agree that it's not the CSRs fault things like this happen, but to say that they aren't responsible for fixing it... well... that's wrong. They are.
Finished grinding. Luck double xp![]()
Back in Deep Space in my shiny new Jedi fighter.
Just to clear up ---
I never complained about the minus Prestige just as the header of thread states
WARNING / so other rebs trying quest to beware and know of this pain in arse bug.
If i make a mistake in game I hold my hand up and get on with it.
Still no sign of ticket being addressed -- waste of day grining out prestige.
Any csr reading this bin ticket no3643494 but please address this bug

...some pretty high handed stuff...
Of course you're assuming that all pilots read the forums, and that CSRs jobs are something other than helping customers who do something that causes them a problem ingame.
You really expect Joe ClulessNoob to not get some help from a CSR if he tries storm squad, gains a ton of xps trying to break into tier3 but happens to have an Inspiration buff when he drops out of frustration?
You really think Entertainers should HAVE to pay an extra 40k xp or sit for 3hours to learn their Quest Song/Dance because they are essentially obligated to walk around Inspired?
You really think someone who drops some scout while capped, but harvests something while inspired and takes an xp penalty when the game happily tells him "your xp cap has dropped blah blah blah" should have to dig his way out of a hole if they decide to take up scout again?
It's a bug, and it's known, but that doesn't mean CS shouldn't help people if they get bit by it until the bug gets fixed.
