I feel your pain. I tried this 3 times with excellent equipment, and I just cant do it. I got pretty late ( I think) into it at a data delivery part, and I ended up fighting like 6-8 A-wings at one time. Not to mention the Tier 4-5 stuff too. Whoever designed this mission is a retard. No break, Xp capped, stupid difficulty, etc. And you have to restart the whole thing too if you dont get it. I need to know as well if there is anyway around this at all without surrendering all skills. I refuse to waste anymore hours on this. At least if I was levelling it would be ok, but nope.

this will sound really stupid, but it worked for me, while escorting frieghters, fly right up the the frieghter, and kinda park yourself on that part when the frieghter bends to get the letter 'L' shape, i did that and just rode the whole mission, the most the frieghters shields where taken down to was 85, mine 55 or so, didn't do nothing, and inbetween parts(when you are given the next target/rendevous point) you can go get repaired

yes ... after 4 tries and getting kiiled 2k from the ship you must dock to finish quest , I gave up trying to solo that stuff ...
I hired an ace pilot to assist me and it was a piece of cake ...

Sigh, looks like I have to do the same, 2 hours per try I've done this 4 times already, always die at the rendevous part...even if I hyperspace to a different part of the system right when the freighter takes off I get swarmed by 11321321 ships and by the time I hyperspace out, I am with no hp left...
Then of course in comes the scripted A wings and you die seconds after.
This mission is such crap.

Sigh...
Just wondering...cause its frustrating the hell out of me.
I am currently xp capped at 2/2/2/2, and this mission seems to have no end.
I finish the milkrun, and anothermission pops on screen...I go through a sequence of 4 of these and finally died when there was just too many ships...in the end,I get jumped by 4 Tier 4 pirate leaders and there was 4 left over when the last mission, rescue some imp freighter, finished as the freighterjumped out of system...then 1 minute later 4 more Tier 3 fighters show up, and I just happen to attract some attention from Tier 5 droid fighters that came out of nowhere.
Now my question is:
1. Is there any way at all for me to train before finishing this mission??? I don't mind long, hard mission chains, but its frustrating the hell out of me not being able to train and being xp capped (give me my TIE Interceptor already).
2. Is this how the Endor missions start out? I mean escorting the engineer is one thing, then they have you go check out some recon ship, then intercept and retake and escort another engineer ship, then rescue some freighter in trouble, then the next one I couldn't even get to, I died by this point. Is this how this mission is supposed to be??? Lol I've killed like 100+ ships already, its annoying losing that much xp cause of the lame cap, and I can't train.
3. Is there anyway to quit your current squadron and pick another one?
After I die, I go back to Yavin 4 to talk to my commanding officer, and he makes me restart the whole friggin chain over again, doing the first milk run.
Makes me wanna scream lol...
