Thread: Issues w/ 3rd Tier 3 mission from Storm Squadron [Completely Gated ATM]

I'm working on the 3rd mission for tier 3 on storm squadron and the mission is to escort the fake list in the shuttle and destroy at least 4 waves of fighters before the shuttle is destroyed or finishes it's mission.
The problem is, I've smoked about 100 ships (4 ships in each wave) and it fails on me every time. I couldn't even let the ship die because the attacking tier3s weren't hitting it hard enough. The ship just jumps out and says mission failed, I didn't destroy enough waves. Someone wanna clue me in on this? I am just trying to reAce after going reb long enough to do the ARC quest and this is getting frustrating.

When it says four waves, it means to completely destroy one wave before the next shows up four times. Are you managing to do that and it's still saying you failed? Or are there leftovers from one wave still around when the next shows up?

Yes, they were three tier3 awings and a bwing so they went down fairly quickly. Of the waves that come while I am escorting, I'd say 60-70% are destoryed before the next one hits. Easily clearing the 4 wave mark.
It seems a bit screwey in general, normally you get mission updates as you go telling of how many more ships or whatnot to destroy but I'm obviously not getting any update.

That's your problem.
You must destroy 100% of one wave before the next one pops.
WhenI did this mission I can't honestly recall how many waves I went through, but I do remember it was alot more than they said.
As best I can figure from all the other posts I've read on this you have to have each and every ship from one wave destroyed completely before the next wave spawns for it to count.

If what you're saying is that all 4 fighters from a wave need to be destroyed before next come in, and do that 4x, I am saying that I did that about 2/3 of the time (unless memory fails me). I'll try it again and keep a better watch but it's gettin annoying doing this mission for an hour to have it fail on me again

Yes, their information is correct on this mission. You have to destroy each wave completely before the next wave spawns, and you have to do it on 4 CONSECUTIVE waves to get a Mission Complete. Took me a while, because I tried to solo it. Find an Ace level Privateer or Imperial to help you out.

Yep I did this last night. I wasn't getting scratched in my Tie Bomber but I couldn't kill them quickly enough before the next wave arrived - got a tier 3 buddy to help me and after 4 consecutive waves where u get the "all fighters destroyed" or similar message the shuttle hyperspaces and you complete the mission.
Word of warning though - the final part of that mission is next to impossible to survive without help
