Oh yeh this is a lovely mission.
Ifthe shuttle isn't there, don't worry. Hang about and check the surrounding 2km of space for the shuttle.
If I remember rightly, even if you blow it up by mistake or whatever, it'll respawn. Its strangely set up this mission is..like bugged but a bug you can get round. Just look for the shuttle, you will find it trust me. I remember way back when I did this I had the same problem, but I just sat there for ages thinking "erm..ok...em...help?" The after flying arond a bit I found it. 
woops, excuse me I totally misread the thread. Erm 700 metres away from lok station? Ok...that is odd. I was sure after yu docked etc with the shuttle that three or so TIE fighters appeared which you had o kill and it was called "survive the Imperial ambush2 or somthing.
Erm..odd. Well if you're on Bria, send Leaph Chausew a tell (me) and I'll come help you.

It's cool. Anyways, no ambush occurs and the quest log doesn't update. So how does SOE expect me to complete it when this happens.

Ok, the quest itself is for me to go to lok system and find the Imperial 'Lambda' Shuttle. I go to the Possible Target Location and nothing there. The WP doesn't even update. YES!!! Same thing happened to me. I gave up man. It'll probably be months before this is fixed. Instead of waiting, I quit that squad and started grinding for Vortex and on tier 4 now. I suggest u do the same.

I have tried to escort but after traveling around 2k it like hyperspaces out of range and then the next one spawns. Finding the spawn is no problem, trying to disable is kinda tricky (sometimes blows up) once disabled I /dock and get the info from it (ship signature data). After that i am clueless of what to do, always get a "mission failed" upon landing. BTW I have NEVER encountered a single escort (or ties that we are suppose to kill before docking). As you said before it is very frustrating. No idea what i am doing wrong.
