Does anyone know of or have a link to a good Freelancer's guide? Ships (types, skill lvl needed), missions, tips,....that sort of thing?

Since I am also a Shipwright - this is stickied on the SW Boards... Informative Links- part way down the page, there is a section entitled Complete Ship Information which has all of the pertinent info on each of the ship types for all of the factions. It also has links to the different variants of each ship and the different paint schemes (textures) that you can paint it.

As for quest guides... not that I know of. Hope this helps.

A common school of Freelancer thought dictates that you ride your newbieScyx till your first ship box (tier-1), then buy the nicest Dunelizard that you can. Stick with *that* ship until Tier-4, at which point, grab yourself a Rihkx black-sun ship, and you're golden through the master mission. After that, you'll want a Krayt for most general-purpose work, and a heavy-Scyx for pvp, unless you can get hold of a Grevious or Jedi starfighter.

The Kimo isn't a bad ship by any stretch, and the Vaksai is a lot of fun at tier-4. But the Lizard and Rihkx are the real pre-masterfreelancing warhorses.

The missions vary by Freelancer employer, so I can't really speak to that.
