I had several people up in my YT1300 tonight. Everything wes going great until the gunners lost connection to the server right in the heat of battle.
It is strange because it did not happen last night in my friends Nova.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

There have been many posts about this exact same issue. Try doing a search and see if any of them have any useful information. I'm not sure any of them ever came up with any resolutions to this, or if it was ever even established that it is a problem with turrets or not, but I don't think another post on the same thing is going to come up with anything new.

Inactivity is the problem. They are not moving around etc so timeout to the server. Try having them run a /blink macro or something for every minute or so until the Dev's fix this. This way they will not time out. Go figure on moving the mouse to target on why you still timeout, but some kinda emote will keep them ingame. Just don't use /stand or anything like that as they will leave ship station.

I used to LD a lot on the ground too - since I read this suggestion, I figured "what the heck" and started running a blink macro on the ground - and has cut down 80% of my LD issues.
