i did the first pilot mission and now i cant get the way point for the next mission i picked out from the same trainer how do i get the way point up thanks in advance for the help

I could be that you will have to find your targets yourself. Some missions are like that

abort the mission in your datapad and go back to the trainer and get it again. when you launch into space, read your journal for a description of exactly what you're supposed to be doing, also make sure your chat window is displaying the Quest information, sometimes I have had my chat tabs spontaneously stop doing that.
