My brother that plays was telling me the other night about something he noticed that made him made with the Imperial Bomber's roll capabilities. It's roll is centered on the cockpit, which if you think about it, the roll should be centered in the middle of the ship. It makes doing combat easier, but it doesn't seem too exact...
What I'm wondering is do other ships that don't have thier cockpits in the center do this? Such at the YT-1300???

Actually, the YT doesn't exactly roll around the cockpit, and if you zoom out, it definately doesn't.
The YT has an interesting issue where they haven't quite gotten straight flight with an offset cockpit worked out.
Well, they hadn't after the last time I was in the YT flying, not just parked near the station while doing decorating work in it.
The roll when you are in cockpit is about 1/4 to the left... at least, thats how it feels. If you zoom out, it works fine.

Everything actually rolls around the cockpit. If you roll a Nova Courier or YT-1300 it rolls around the cockpit and not around the centreline of the ship.

this flaw works great with the stye 3 & 4 Kihraxz, since the cockpit is in the front, the whole backside swings around when turning or diving, making for ultra superiour manuveribility

The roll is based on the camera position. In a yt, bomber, nova, if you have an in-cockpit view, you'll roll off-center. If you pull the camera back into 3rd person, it centers on the ships and the roll will now be centered.
Understandable for a working code, but not so realistic. Interesting point about the Khir and flopping around turns. Kryat has an even more forward cockpit and roll turning in that thing with a very active throttle is a thing of beauty.
