Thread: Freelance Aces: What do you fly?

Curious as to what the other Freelance Aces fly now? I rarely see any other Freelancers out in DS or Kessel...
I'm a bit partial to my Krayt - it's big, sure...but when there's not PvP, that doesn't matter much 
, but for PvP and more manuverable fighting, what is suggested? Is a Dunelizard still the bread and butter of the Freelancers?

I mostly fly my Krayt, even overt but Ive yet to have a pvp encounter. As soon as I get a few in Ill jump in my Dunelizard to really get into things.
Everywhere else I fly my YT-1300, as it is my crafting/smuggling/RPing/exploring ship.

i love my YT, ever since i got master i pester people to come man the guns for me... i tried the kihrax (or w/e) in DS with some stuff and it sucked, i have a rihyxn (or w/e) i use in DS and it's OK. i haven't ventured to a krayt OR updated my duney off of grinding equipment (i'm flat broke after buying the YT-1300)

When I was freelance, I used the Krayt for most PVE, occasionally switching to the Dunelizard when I got tired of the Krayt's handling (which was good, but not like a light fighter). For PVP, I always used a Dunelizard--and if I were still neutral now, I would definitely try it with a Kihraxz, 40K mass and all. I'd bet it's a more viable ship than people think.

Typically my Duneliz. Nothing I can't do in that ship. I'd *love* to find better reasons to fly my YT, though, as it's another wonderfully equipped ship. I have a Krayt I can load out if it becomes useful

I fly a Dunelizard almost exclusively. In any type of combat, I like a small, fast, hyper-maneuverable craft. I tried the Kimo, the Krayt and even the Firespray, hoping increased firepower and defense might offset the poorer handling, but they just can't compare. I figure if I can outrun you and out-turn you, I'll end up behind you.

You have a Krayt you can load out if it becomes useful?
I don't fly anything but my Krayt for PvE as even the lightning fast A wings can't stay out from under my reticle with the crappy AI.
I always go with my Krayt initially in PvP as well. If I run into someone that is good enough to take me out, and it was due to a mismatch in handling and speed, then I jump in my dunelizard and go back for a rematch. Even in my Krayt though I have only run into 2 or 3 people that actually had handling characteristics that were so superior that I didn't have a chance against them though, even though almost every rebel flies an A wing and all of the imp ships have nice handling. Honestly the handling on a Krayt is very very good if you compare it with any other medium or heavy fighter in the game. I can usually keep up with, if not outperform even the light fighters as far as handling goes. In my opinion the only drawback to the krayt is that it has a much larger profile than the ships the rebs and imps use for PvP, but if I'm riding in his exhaust that isn't really going to make a difference.
