Im having a difficult time with flying my tie fighter. i just cant seem to find my enemy. nor do i know where to go to hunt.. any advice??

Space is the way to go!

if you're using a stick be sure to bind and use target closest enemy, and simply take some time in space without a pressing mission to do. if you are a tier 1 pilot, I'd stay in Tatoo, Naboo, or Corellian space, and simply get the hang of target acquisition and navigation. you weren't too specific about whether you meant long range or short range navigation, but its often helpful to use /follow after targeting the nearest space station (if the nearest station is the one you can land at at least, and thats where you desire to go).
