Thread: Late comer to JTL

I only recently came back to play JTL about 2 weeks ago, in that time I've managed to get myself to 4444, now the mastery is upon me (need to destroy the star ravager on the Starsider server)
The problem however is that I hear the bulk of people who mastered did it back when the game was first released, when groups would form regularly in Cnet. However I've not seen any of these groups nor can I seem to get any started. Any advice on what a frustrated pilot can do when they are obviously gated from mastery? I've read some of the solo guides, but it seems most of them are based on luck and lots of "suiciding" thanks in advance.

well if you will be a rebel... 
I regularly still see groups of impies bashing the imp covette with a couple of shiny new prospective imperial aces in tow on flurry (I helped no less then 4 pilots get ace over the last few days). your just fighting for the wrong side

Running this in the Pilot forum isn't a bad idea, but you might also post in the Starsider forum, too.
I enjoy Star Ravager assaults, as I find dogfighting the 6 escort craft to be a decent challenge, as far as AI goes. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do for you from way over in Valcyn

some servers have pilot chat rooms, the shadowfire one is how i got a posse together to take down the vette.
modify a chat tab... and i forget exactly how... but there is a "join channel" somewhere around there.... just look for a room like "imp pilots"..... "pilot"..... you know.
