Ok, well almost everyone I have spokento and from everything I have read basicly agrees 4xxx is the best box to get as an Imp or for any type of pilot. Now what people have failed to mentioned is how to get this first box. Most people cannot run duties right off the bat. I have a very nice ship, but I cannot do any of the duties solo(main factor due to other aggro ships in the area) and I do not have people that cannot help me must of the time(so please do not suggest this). Here are the ships specs if you were curious:

Tie Interceptor

Reactor: 11.3k regen, 2782 mass

Engine: 75.6 speed, 51 PYR, 13.5k mass

Shield: 1.3k front and back w/ 7.73 regen, 6.8k mass

Capacitor: 998.1 energy w/ 34 regen, 1934 mass

Weapon: 1543-2373 dmg, .480 vs shield/armor, 27.4 energy per shot, refire rate .270, 13.96k mass

Anyone have any suggestions of how to grind this first box to get my TIE Aggressor? I only need about 650k more after the tier 3 missions. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

get Cap to Shield shunt 3/4, Reactor overload 3 and Weapon Cap overload 3, add engine overload 3 and weapon overload 3 from your own skills and you're good to go grind on tier 5's in kessel to get the xp for the first tier 4 box or able to complete the tier 4 duties.

I'm Rebel 3433 and I was able to get the xp easlily enough in my X-wing. I have3 guns loaded though (2x~2.5k blasters and 1x~1.5k disrupter), I never bother with missiles or countermeasures. I just make sure I take out all the bombers first when on duty missions. Most of my kit is loot/reward apart from the guns.

Hi

i would go and help others doing tier 3 and go overt and get those fpup aswell , and sooner then later you will get your first box

I was stuck on tier 3 for so long that i had filled my box before igot 4333 so lucky in that was i got my box straight away reaching tier 4 . but i would just grind fp and tier 3-4 in endor there is a good spawn there of rebel tier 4X,A andB- wings. should not be to mutch trouble doing that if you just lure out a few at atime.

hope this helps

I have to disagree with the 4xxx right off, as imp i flew the bomber all the way to master so take the bomber strike first. as reb i flew y wing longprobe all the way to master, so same goes, nuet was so easy didnt matter what i flew.

It doesnt matter which pilot type you are, you always should get the component box first when hitting a new teir. Otherwise you are seriously stunting your performance in space. IMHO.

Do the escort duty missions. You wont get the aggro there.
And if you do them overt you will get some fp as bonus.

perhaps the concern is that since an interceptor has very low mass, he wants a higher mass ship.

I would have to agree with the first poster who said to get all the overload programs and cap to shield shunt. I would start out grinding in Endor if the duties are too hard, then move on to Kessel when you are ready. Remember always to target the heavy ships and bombers of any group first. Disable is also your friend when facing more than 3 enemies, come back and clean up when the aggro is floating. I have only flown as a rebel in Havoc squad and now doing smugglers alliance, so I don't know how grinding Tier 5 rebel ships is, but I found it faster to kill tier 4's for exp. Sure you get less per ship, but I can blow up more tier 4 than tier5 TIEs in the same amount of time

I agree i went for a ship when i first hit tier 4 cause i wanted to be able to use some better shield and guns engine at once and not make a choice of what to use. like i have a pretty good gun i think ( dont know any shipwright i would trust with my stuff to re for me, the one i do know is offcousre no able to play cause of a broken pc)

And my playing style does not fit to fly the tie bomber,

But i do agree on lower lvl you choose equiptment first.

This is my concern with higher cert equipment, what would be the point? Most of the components use more mass in one part than my ship can load overall. Plus, I have found that the best equipment when it comes to overall value and utilityismid-high cert(about 4 through 8) RE'd components. Just my two cents from what I have seen/read/thought.

i wonder how you want to squeeze an unREed L8 gun or shield into a 50k mass ship.

getting the tier4 component box is only usefull when you fly a tie bomber. i would suggest to get the TIE adv. first, then skills (Bstrike2 = uber), then the other two boxes.

the tie adv increases your killrate significantly.

The bomber's only as good as the guy flying it...

IMHO, the bomber pwns with level 7 stuff. Yes, I used it all the way from 3222 to long after master. I only switched to the oppressor cause I realised the first oppressor I bought was a pre-nerf collectors edition...140k mass lol
