Thread: first mission, tier 4 Freelance Tat, HELP!!!!!!!!!!1

ok, I have been trying to fly this mission for some time, is there anyone who can give me tips on it, I just keep lossing it and am geting realy PO'ed over it! Right now, I am 3433 in freelance pilot and have about 500k of XP to my next box.

I am also Smuggler's Alliance, can you give me details, my memory is hazy as to the missions specifics. I jsut soloed tier 4, so I should be able to give good pointers...also here is teh standard response...did you bring a friend or two?

ya, both Imperial as am I. The mission was wave after wave of NPC, Rebels, Imperial and others. It was a escort mission.

I thought the first mission was a rendezvous mission, where you have to meet a transport in Lok (I think) then transfer stuff between another 3 hutt transports in the Dantooine system (I might be wrong on the systems) I got through it by hyperspacing to a point closer to the next rendezvous whenever a second wave of fighters turned up.
If you mean the second tier 4 mission, where you have to escort a Black Sun transport, then.. er.. I'm not much help, as I've only tried it once and gave up after losing shields trying to fight off 3 waves of Tier 4 tie fighters. Since then I have discovered the ways of droid programs, and I can now take a Tier 4 ship out in seconds, so I shall be returning to unleash a heavily shaken can of whipa$s on them in the very near future.
So in summary; ignore what I said about hyperspacing (unless you want to get through it quickly), just use droid programs and you should be able to show those tier 4s who's boss.
edit: Just noticed your 3433 level, so it is the first mission you're on. I don't remember having to escort anyone, but I've got a pretty bad memory so I wouldn't be surprised if i'm wrong.

if I am not mistaken it is only imperials that come after you. Is it like Escort the first ship, you get a wave of 3 TIE Advanced, then a wave of 4 Interceptors, then a wave of 1 Opressor and 2 Bombers...something like this? Its a long escort and disable is your friend here. Remember that you are NOT after exp here. Keep your eyes on the prize, stay with the freighter. If you have time after you disable each wave, destroy them, if the next wave spawns forget the disabled ships. It is not easy unless you have a TOUGH ship. I soloed it, but I am on my second mastery and so have beat the learning curve and have all kinds of good low mass equipment.
