Thread: 2 pronged noob question

Ok. I'm 1111 pilot, and keep trying to rescue the freighter above Naboo so I can keep working on mastering pilot. I can only seem to destroy 1 or 2 rebel ships before I am taken out.

Question1: How in the world do I complete this mission?

Question 2: How do I upgrade my ship to a better model? Instead of just changing parts in my prototype, can I just buy a new ship? And can I just buy it from a vendor?

Thanks for helping a rookie.

i can't answer question 1 specifically, because I'm a rebel pilot, so missions are different. But in general, if you can't solo mission, trygrouping with other pilots, much esier.

As for question 2.Yes you can buy a new ship. As you are 1/1/1/1, you can have a beter ship then the prototype small ship. Try just looking first in the bazar, sometimes low level ship can be found there for cheap money.

Question 2: Yes, you can buy a better ship chassis to fit your new parts. Different chassis have different mass limits, and you can qualify for them at cetain levels as you progress up your pilot tree. Examine your skilltree to see which ships you qualify for. Shipwrights make these chassis, so yes it's possible to buy them for a vendor. You might be lucky enough to find a new ship on the bazaar, at your level, and save yourself some credits and time.

I can't directly answer your first question, as I've never flown the Imperial tier. However some things do apply across the board; better weapons, better shields, and better flight computer management. Look at your loadout, decide what balance of firepower versus defense you're comfortable with, and consider the programs granted to you at tier 1. Even at your level they can still be useful.

I think in a round about way that doing the suggestions in #2 you will take care of #1. The best equipment you can get in helps a lot. Does not need to be 'perfect' stuff but at lvl 1-4 stuff its easy to come by.

Short of that I would recomend picking up at least 1 wingman. That makes all the difference in the world

Monsofo hit it on the head, but fyi for the future, posting what squad you fly for (at least where you started if you don't know the squad name) and as many details as you can about what you're supposed to be doing, and what's killing you and how, help us to help you. We all haven't flown every squad, but basic principles apply, and people who have flown that squad can help with their memories of the mission.
