Thread: Help!! Privateer tier 4 2nd mission

hello, im on the 2nd mission of my tier 4 boxes... i think my mission is bugged
i am told to inspect a ship for its cargo, i do so, and get no mission update.. ive disabled the ship, docked and recover the cargo, and still no mission progress...
what am i supposed to do here??

im doing RSF Squadron, and the ship is a heavy freighter..
the mission giver in the theed palace told me to inspect a ship for industrial cargo...

Sorry , thats the one non-rebel squadron I havn't done

Might it be a non-mission spawn used for mission purposes? If so, blow it up and wait for another.

do you have a cargo hold on your ship ?
i've run into an imperial pilot mission similar to yours where i get a message that the cargo was retrieved but i didn't get the mission completed message and had to do it over. once i put the cargo hold in my ship it worked.

Its kind of wierd, I think that mission is bugged. If the ship looks ok you have to blow it up to get a new one to show up, and keep doing it intil you find one with the cargo you want. Probably the ships should leave and new ones show up, but they don't. Just keep inspecting and destroying until the right one show up.

No, that was a coincidence, cargo holds have no bearing on the regular squadron missions.

Had the same problem, I had to scan multiple cargo ships and dock with all of them, you know your done when the black sun attack you, its a quick easy mission

Yes, I am very glad I found this thread: i am on the same mission as well. Yes it is bugged and you are not alone-I am going to spend the next hour or so just killing the heavy freighters and keep docking with them... if it doesnt work then... im going to get angry...

This mission is not bugged. You just have to find the right ship. It is normally around 1.5 to 2k from the spawn point. Like the poster above, when you get jumped by black suns, you know you found it.

There is a similar mission for Smuggler's Alliance (two in fact). The tier 4 version of this mission is quite an ordeal because the ships you need to inspect have AN INCREDIBLE SLOW SPAWN RATE. We are talking several minutes between spawns of the ships you need to disable and inspect. It took me 45 minutes to find the right ship last time, mostly because there was a two to five minute delay between each spawn. It wad truly awful and it makes me glad that most of the pilots in my guild are rebels. I really don't want to go through that again.
