Just wondered if anyone is having problems getting missile locks? Had a look in the sticky and couldn't see anything...
Did a 'vette run with a group and a few of us never got anything even announcing that the missiles where trying to acquire a lock, let alone got one.
I know there is a range to these things and the targets need to be pretty much unevasive, but 'vettes and gunboats aren't the most manoueverable things, and it seemed like a bit too much like a coincidence that more than a few of us had the same problem.

On the ISD, I can't target the sub-components with missiles. The last time I did the Kashyyyk vette, I could though, but that was a couple of weeks ago already...
I don't know if it is a bug or it is an intended thing though...

I launched plenty of missiles last night without a problem/ It was against the Vette, but couldn't see any problems

Thanks, maybe it's just a weird lag thing...
I'll take another trip to Kessel on my own and see what happens

It might be perceptional as
1) 6 guns might evaporate you 3 times before getting a lock, so time seems to be shorter
2) different missiles have different lock times, making the IR2 almost exclusively used in PVP.
I do not know whether these potential reasons are related to the actual problem, but I hope it helps.

Worked fine for me last night. I took out weapon 5 and the two shields easily with concussion missiles. Make sure you have the green target somewhat near your targetting reticle when trying to lock.

The part with "never even announcing a missile lock" might be an indicationt hat the missile launcher is not added to a weapon group, which effectively disables it.
Press G and see if your missile launcher is added to one of the 10 weapon groups. You can't add it to your normal blaster group, has to be a seperate one. I think its marked as "Weapon Group 3 (missiles)" or similiar in the list on the left.
If the missiles are not added to one, choose an empty group and add the launcher(s) you want to fire and try again.
If that wasn't the problem, I don't know either what could cause this problem.
