I have a Saitek X36 HOTAS with a CH Pedal (Yeah, a flight sim sad git or what.)

However due to Windows XP being pants you can't change controller ID's so the CH pedals are ID 1.

The 'Use this joystick with older games' setting just plain doesnt work either.

So by default all the Axis get set to the Pedals - makes for interesting flying I can tell you.

For Flight sims I generally just assign the axis manually and they are accepted.

However SWG does not seem to like multiple controllers, so attempting to set a axis just doesnt work.

The clear selection and move axis parts works, but the end assignment isn't correct.

(It looks to me like the Axis is set to the one you select and move, but the Controller ID remains at 1)

I can fly with just the X36, but it means my Pedals need to be unplugged and replugged when swapping games, which is a bit of a pain. Esp. if you forget to unplug them as you basically need to log out of SWG to get the change recognized.

The X36 rudder is rubbish as well so I want my pedals back.

So is there any way to assign multiple controller Axis?

Any config files I can tweak?

Or is there any known way of Controller ID swapping in Win XP?

Yeah SWG sucks as far as controller recognition. As far as I can tell you can't change controllers during the game (really annoying when you forget to plug your joystick back in and have to exit the game) nor does is support multiple sticks.

I think your best bet would be to look for some kind of software emulator (that could combine the axis into a single controller ID), but I'm not sure such a thing exists
