Thread: Can the YT-1300 be piloted solo?

Well obviously you can fly the thing solo (forgive the pun), but is there any way a lone pilot can shoot weapons as well? I can appreciate that larger ships should require more people to work best, but I would think that in the Star Wars galaxy a single pilot could fly a YT-1300 from one place to another and defend him or herself to some extent.
One of my goals in the game was to fly a YT-1300 and now that I have it I am a bit disappointed that I can't fly it on missions by myself, and the inside seems rather restricted. I had hoped to decorate it somewhat like the yacht. Where is the crew supposed to sleep? (Or have I missed a second deck?)

The pilot can fire missles, but thats about it. No there is no second deck, I suggest you invest in bunk beds.

Yeah, like the other poster said, the pilot can fire missiles and that's it. He/she can't fire the weapons, launch droid programs or specials, ect.
We've all been pestering the Devs to lock the cannons in the forward position and let the pilot fire them when no one is in the turrets... but so far, we haven't gotten anything.
There's no second deck on the YT-1300. If you want another deck, check out the Decimator. And, of course, the Nova Cruiser has seperate rooms.

I did the same thing. Tatooine's asteroid fields are a field day.

It's the same for all MP ships (excluding the SoroSuub, of course). You'll always need gunners to man the turrets if you want to fire on something while flying your ship. The pilot cannot fire the lasers.

When I was farming tier 1 components to RE for KSe disks, I parked my YT in the middle of a tier 1 Valarian Spawn and then i sat in a turret by myself and had a field day. They couldn't come close to hurting my ship with my good shields on there.
