I soloed this mission in a Rhyx. It is tough but doable. There is an excellent post here somewhere on how to do it. It is months old but worth the search. I am also a MSW so I have an advantage because I can customize my ship to meet my current needs.
There is only one gun on the bottom of the Vette. Target it from infront and below the Vette. You can either lure the escort fighters away, take them out, or ignore them. Make a pass at the gun and turn down and away before you get to the gunboats behind. You should be able to take it out on the first pass. The next thing you want are the two shield generators one on each side of the Vette. Approach from below and take them out. You should be able to target them without coming under fire from the top guns. Once the shields are down, take out the engine and allow the gunboats and fighter to move away. Then take the reactor and remaining guns.
If you die while fighting, just repair what you can and head back. The Vette will still be there and still be damaged. I had a friend that just made Bonzai runs after targeting the component and got blown up after each run. Once he got the engines, he was fine. The Vette was disabled a few km from it's spawn out spot.
Also, the gunboats and escorts will not hyper out if the Vette is destroyed and they are left. So, it is polite to take them out when the Vette is down. If you do not, they turn in tight circles at the spawn out point and prevent another Vette from spawning.

I solo rebel corvettes all the time in deep space without using missiles or bomber strikes.
Basically, you will want to go at the corvette from below. Target turret #5 and blow it, if you fly in right, it wont even hit you. Take that out, reduce speed, fly down and come back up to hit the shields. If you get too far to the outside of the vette, turrets 2? and 7 will be able to shoot you. Destroying them isn't really a big problem. When you take out the shields, it gets really easy, just drop behind it and pound the engine. When the engine is gone, the vette will stop moving, let the gunboats pass and target the vette's reactor. Sometimes the reactor can be incredibly tricky to hit, so I would suggest using a couple missiles to blow it, espescially since you're not going to be going for every turret on the vette.
Once the reactor is blown, fly under the vette to the front, put a few blaster bolts through the window and it'll blow up.
I didn't account for the escort fighters in this, and they'll probably strike either when turret 5 is taken out, or when you down one of the shields, lead them away from the vette's turrets and destroy them whenever they attack and you'll be safe to dogfight. Don't spend too much time on the fighters until you at least get that engine taken out. With cap to shield shunt, it's very possible to get this done with only minimal damage to armor, if any damage gets through your shield at all.

I'm not sure if this was asked by anyone else, and if it has been, then please point me in the right direction. My question is: Is it possible to compleat the Master Privateer Pilot Mission alone? (I'm a Smuggler's Alliance pilot), and I would really like to do it on my own. So, if the question has already been asked, then please give me a link to where I can find the answer. If not, then could someone possibly post a walk-through(s) /tips/ tricks on how to do it alone? Thanks

It would be very hard to solo this as a privateer pilot. Possible, but very hard.
The guide is in the FAQ.

And remember.... IFF Scramble is your friend.... use it
Hit it right after you take out gun 5 on the corvette, then the fighter and gunboat escorts won't put the hurt on you while you're boosting away to reposition... reapply if something happens and your armor starts to take a pounding.
