I fly for the Imperial Inquisition, im at teir 3 mission 4. I can't seem to take the Price of Liberty out at the end. I have tried many times and close to having to buy a new ship. Even tried with friends and we all get wasted by its 4 guns. Im flying the tie bomber, got great shields, guns, armor and all. I try the underneath attacks, and i seem to get a few free shots in but the thing just turns on you and lays you to waste. Best i have on my own is get it down to 20 percent on its shields and about 80 percent on its armor.
any body solo this, please share your strategies, i am probably gonna wait until this weekend and try to get about 6 players to just mad attack it at once.

Are you 3332 or 3323 in skills?
If you have Bomber strike, call it on the ship. If not, best get a friend who has it.
Let the bombers engage and then go in and kill the guns when they are occupied with your bombers.
Otherwise, strafe it. Fly towards it, fire your guns, and after a few hits turn away and fly out of reach (use boosters if necessary). Recharge shields (Cap to Shield shunt) and go for the next run.
I assume its a gunboat and since you tell of 5 guns I think its an Imperial gunboat. Anyway, the "below method" only really works in Kessel and DS where the ships move on a path and won't fly towards you. The gunboats outside of there have smart pilots that actually try to turn their ship so they can fire at you and will come after you.

yes i have bomber strike, it helps, i use weopon overload 2and engine over load2. I am 3332 so far. I dont have (Cap to Shield shunt), is that an imperial pilot droid command? i dont recall getting that one.
How long will the bombers engage it and how far away can i call a bomber strike on it? as soon asi call bomber strike they seem to notice me and i am force to attack. I usually call the bomber strike at about 500 meters and i am underneath the belly of that beast. But they turn on me and attack me and not the other ships.

ok, what if i stay about 1000 meters away, call bomber strike, then if that works, then move in when it looks like they are attacking the other ships, then all weopons fire, missles on the gunboat, then boost away and hyperspace to another point in the same sector and repeat until its disabled. Then take out the x wings.
i guess im trying to answer my own question.

iirc the price of liberty isnt rebel aligned.
in that case you could ask a rebel master to bring a heavy bomber (b-wing).
with decent equipment a b-wing can blow it in one pass.
same goes for freelance masters in krayts.
if youre on infinity drop me a note (zesta/nadir)

I soloed that mission using Coreena's method. I might add that I targeted it's engines to disable it, then flew out of the range of it's guns to remove the fighters. After that, you can appoach it and sit 550m away and blast away.
P.S. Don't fly in a straight line for too long

First find someone to copy you Weapon Overload 3 program, and use it.
Cap to shield Shunt is a Privateer program, so you need a freelancer to sell it to you.
And yes, the range of the weapons seems to be around 500, while you can hit it at around 550-600 already, so once the engines are down, just sit down out of range, creep slowly closer until you can hit it and blast it.
I think B-Strike works from a very far range, 1km is possible perhaps 1.5 even, i've never used BStrike so far to be honest (always did the others use theirs)

What server you on? Last I downed the Price of Liberty, took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 seconds... If you're on Corbantis, send me an email.

Strafing gunboats works usually. With rebel gunboats I'd try to take out the engine, then go for the unprotected belly once they are disabled - they can't shoot downwards.
