Where do you get the repair kits, to repair the chassis or components on your ship. Can someone help. Thanks.

Shipwrights make them, however you can repair at space stations while in space.
Mainly you only need reactor and engine repair kits since those are the only two components you need to get into space, the rest you can repair while in space.

All purpose Ship repair kits are actually made by Master Artisans not Shipwrights (yeah, doesn't make much sense, but thats the way it is)

Always repair before landing, this way you avoid having to make ground-side repairs. I haven't seen anyone comment on which is less expensive, but if you want to try it, go see a shipwright to buy them.
I haven't seen many players buy them, and it's typically players that have a multiplayer ship, as these ships allow in-flight repairs.

talk to a shipwright, have them make you a few general repair kits, they'll work on all components. Generally cheaper than getting repairs at the space station as well.
