Is there some trick to doing this. I delivered the presents to the imperials (without killing the Deathwatch, because appearently killing 1 just spawns in a whole new group of em), but then it asks me to escort a ship that's 5km away. Now I have the teir 3 ship cert and gear cert but am still getting my ass handed to my by the 3 DW guys. Anyway to get to this escort and lose the Dw?

ok the trick of delieveing the 3 presents is hyper jumping. Think like a smuggler. Since your working towards being smugglers aliance.

the trick is you can usally deliever one then they start attacking in waves. Or if you where like me and failed serveral times they attack you as soon as you get in the system.

Ok really the trick is to hyper to different points in the same system. If you start getting attack hyper to another point and in the same system if by some freak chance that find ya again jump to another point in the SAME system. Then just fly to the imp and give him his present. Then they attack again then you hyper to another point in the same system. Rinse and repeat. Do the same thing for all 3 if need be. Then do the escort which is real easy and your good to go.

edith by the way i was able to do this same trick on a few missions in the hard lvls to get by.

Think SMUGGLER you want to run and fight another day instead of dieing gloriously. You only get paid if ya live, and you cant take it with ya.

This was a real pain in the six the first time around for me too, but I've learned some tricks that made the next time I worked my way through SA a breeze.

Since you guys sound like your relatively new to the pilot scene, you might be neglecting one of your greatest assets as Freelance Pilots: the droid commands Capcitor Overcharge and Capicitor to Shield Shunt. Many new pilots aren't aware of how much droid commands can make your progression so much easier, and unless you learn how to use them, this will stop you dead in your tracks on later mission.

If you haven't done so yet, go buy the highest level flight computer your certified for. I believe it a .v3 if your working on Tier 3 and haven't taken the System Balance Programming yet. Click on it and initialize it when it's in your inventory. You can then program it from you datapad. Upload Capacitor Overcharge - Medium (or whichever one you have) as well as Capacitor to Shield Shunt - Medium and make sure you load this flight computer into your ship using the Manage button on the Starship Terminal. Once you launch, you can hit Control + A and select astromech commands and hotkey these onto your toolbar. Capacitor Overcharge will increase the amount of energy stored in your capacitor at the cost of a few points of damage to the component, but it's well worth it and easily repaired. Shield Shunt will allow you to siphon energy off your capacitor and run it into your shields to repair them when they start getting low. It's basically first aid for your ship and a real lifesafer. Think of it as a flying buff. Once you start using droid commands, you'll wonder how you got this far without them. You can find more information about them in the FAQ up in the stickies, but this will help you out for now.

If you've already discovered the joys of droid commands and Shield Shunt, this might help with getting past the pirates. Shoot to ALMOST disable them as they come at you. Target their engines and knock them down to around 9-10% then switch to another target. This will keep the pirates from self-destructing and triggering new waves and will slow them down to the point where they have no hope of catching up with you as you race to the rendezvous waypoint.

Hello, I must be going. I cannot stay, I came to say I must be going. I'm glad I came but just the same I must be going.

ya that does help alot too but my way is easier way easier.

But he is right if ya havnt learn the uses of droid commands things well get real easy with them. But the that mission your on my way is the best way. Again several people have used it with greast sucess. I was able to solo all the way to master except the vette, i have yet to figure out the vette but thanks to a few wingmen i was finally able to do it. I need lvl10 guns i guessto make it as easy as some make it..

I'm having the same problem. Once you complete the mission you can destroy the ships then go in for repairs as long as you dont leave the system. Problem I have is I got jumped during my escort by teir 4 tie fighters. Makes no since. Im escorting a Imp ship and get attacked by Imp ties
