Advanced x-wing however u probably cant solo the vette until after u get master pilot and know what you are doing as well.

A-Wing with a lvl 7 gun and MK3 Proton Missile (12 rounds) 10 rounds is enough if you charge in on gun 5 with just guns first. I had no armor that time to fit on a 65k mass A-Wing. Shields were at 1.7k+ and engine is at 96+ max speed was 1251 with Engine overload. Pretty easy once the TIEs are gone.

For taking the Corvette, you need strong shields, precision firing, and dogfighting skills (for the escorts) ... anything else can be done without, thoughtorps would help. Also go find the Rebel Corvette and study it for a while from up close, you'll need to take out ALL the guns if you're not using torps

Heavy X, JSF or Greivous SF. Heavy X is easy to obtain if you have ROTW. The vette for the Heavy X can be solo'd...just read up on the easy way to do the mission.

I prefer the JSF that I stole from the Imps during as a spy for a day.

I'm in the same boat as you Reb pilot 4/4/4/4. Can someone please tell us how to get the heavy x? Also what is the fastest way to get the 7500000 xp?

you don't need the xp, just complete the mission. The Heavy X starts from Kashyyyk Nuetral Station

Personal choice really, but getting the grievous ship has been one of the best things ive done.
