Thread: Red Tie Question...again

Can you imagine how Frequently Asked this Question is?

As helpful as this information was (sarcasm), I still don't have the answer to my question. I checked the FAQ's AGAIN. I went thu 5 pages of posts AGAIN. Talks alot about the bug but nothing on how to start the quest. If there are any pilots that are not mounted firmly atop their high-horse, can I please get the answer to the question?
Thank you in advance for your help.
From there, you'll run a few more missions, culminating in the capture of a Corvette and the subsequent escort of the Corvette through Kashyyyk space. After that is all done, check back with the station and you should receive your Royal Guard TIE Interceptor and the badge for the Heavy X-Wing. <---- a bug

Do missions from Kashyyyk Space Station until Rian tells you to talk to Emya. Talk to Emya, run some more missions, then check back with the Station. When you get the options for Duty missions or 'Is there anything else', pick the 'Anything Else', and through a series of events you'll be directed to the Imperial Space Station.

Thank you VERY much
This quest is kind of odd. I got side tracked on it myself.
OK so.
1. Talk to kashyyyk station, do those missions until he tells you to go talk to emya.
2. Go down to the planet, do emya's missions (do not run any more missions from the station, thats what got me side tracked). Do his missions until he sends you to the imperial station.
3 There was 2 missions for me at the Imperial station, the last one being the "Epic" disable and escort the vette.
On a side note, it sure was hard to disable the vette, w/o using B. strike, the light fighters you get as imperial don't stand up well against it. Oh, and the cannons will not respawn when it is captured, so, try to remove as few guns as possible (lol, gun 5 only).

Indeed! Bring a friend for the 'Vette portion..they're nasty. I failed 4 Bomber Strikes when I tried to solo the thing, and by that time, I was getting chewed up by the turrets.
Needless to say, I failed that time..but with a wingman we were able to alternate our attack runs and got that sucker disabled quickly.
If you've read about the bug, then you know to tell Emya that the pirates are strong when he asks.
The corvette was amazingly easy once I got it figured out. The first thing to remember is that the ship is a neutral target until you actually shoot it. This makes peeling away and dealing with the fighter escort very simple. (I did the Rebel version ,there were only 4 heavy fighters to deal with. I did the mission in a standard x-wing with a crafted reactor and loot and reward parts otherwise, one RE'd level six gun, two looted 7's.)
The corvette doesn't have any gunboat escorts... which leaves it a *huge* blind spot directly aft. After you deal with the fighters, just turn, target the thing, and /follow... that lines you up rather nicely behind it.
I used Mark 3 proton missiles, and took out the two shield generators from way back there. (3 missiles each)
Then just used my guns on the engine that was directly in front of me. The thing never touched me, and I left all it's guns intact. I had let it get to about 7000 meters from the rebel station before I launched a missile, the escort from there was a snap, with the Corvette blazing away full guns, and I never even had an attacking gunboat spawn, so I just picked off fighters for a while and it was done.
I see you've now been handed the answer, but I just wanted to apologise for making assumptions about you. Ithought you wouldbe able to understand when pointed towards the exact thread and numbered post within it.

Q: Where do I find the new RotW ships?
A: They're all quest-granted. The missions for these ships start here:
- The Heavy X-Wing, Vaksai, and Imperial Guard Interceptor quests all begin with missions out of Kashyyyk space station. They'll soon send you down to Kashyyyk to talk to a man named Eyma, who will give you some more missions. (NOTE: At some point, he'll ask you whether the Ghrag mercenaries are strong or weak. Be sure to answer "strong," as answering "weak" seems to create a quest-gating bug for people.) Eventually, he'll direct you to another space station in Kashyyyk space for the final couple of missions. Rebels will be sent to the Rebel Outpost, Imperials to the Imperial Outpost, and privateers to Kashyyyk station. Once you've completed these last two missions, you'll have your new ship.
and yes, it's written in large yellow letters.
If you're unaccustomed to soloing a Vette, I HIGHLY advise adding Cap to Shield Shunt IV and much heavier armor than you're used to carrying (if you're used to carrying it at all).
A 500hp armor plate might soak up about 4-5 turret hits, so a 1000hp will soak up about 8-10. Once you lose shielding and start taking armor damage, withdraw and pop CTTS4, don't try to "tough it out" - the Vette won't follow you, but just remember it's firing envelope is about 1000m to your ~600.
A lot of people understate how tricky a Vette can be - I've taken out probably over 100 (maybe more - whenever I see them in Kessel I disable them for the gunboats and fighter screen...sad that the Vette constitutes a 'good spawn' nowadays) of them, and they can surprise you every once in a while.
This one is a little easier because it's got a linear track. It's not going to curve, so no bucking like the Master mission. Still - priority one is taking out Turret 5. If you're soloing this, it makes sense to pack a missile launcher just this once to assist in taking out T5, both shields, and the engines much more quickly. Once they're done with, you're good.
I only emphasize using missiles simply because you'll take on a few Tier 3 gunboats on the escort path, and turrets are turrets, and these guys have AI, which automatically means you should respect them even THOUGH they're Tier 3. Just be thankful you're not running the Vaksai quest and have to deal with Tier 5s.

It really is in the "2nd post down"in the FAQ. It's right at the top of the 2nd post of the FAQ. It's the very first thing in it. This is what it says:

Next time save us all the bickering and simply say "Kashyyk space station"
I really can't stand people who go through the hassle of belittling someone in this mannar.
If it's such an easily answered question why make them do more work for it? Why not just keep your mouth shut if your not going to answer it.

Why should he do the work for someone who can't be bothered to do the work for himself? He told him exactly where to find the information and in doing so how to find other information on his own in the future. He taught him how to learn, however unsuccessfully it was done.
It's like the old saying about the cold man. Set a fire for a man and he'll be warm all night. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. Well, perhaps not exactly like that.

Wow it amazes me how many tools there are flying ships. Thank got the pilots on tempest arent like this as I would have never even attepted the profession most likely.
I always consult the FAQ's first. I just missed it this time. The fact that.....
Never mind not worth my time tool.
