Thread: On My Wishlist: Prestige Point Conversion to FP Quests

The current system leaves everyone with like 4 zillion in Prestige and nothing substantialto do with it. We badly need stuff tospend it directly on, but also it'd be awesome if....
On my wishlist would be a method of running certain missions that, depending on how well you do, reward you with a chance to convert Prestige Pointsto FP. Prestige conversion would be wrapped in SW immersion by the factionNPC saying something like "I've heard a lot about you, big hotshot pilot, let's see how well you hold up against this challenge. We need someone to...."
I suggest several types of missions, including but not limited to:
Speed delivery runs (piracy for rebels / smugglers, supply lines for Imperials)
Destroy (kill more in the time alloted)
If you do the delivery run fast or kill a high number of enemies, you get a chance to do a 100 to 1 or 70 to 1 conversion...
if you do it so-so get 300 to 1...
do it badly get 600 to 1 conversion, etc. (not actual numbers just an example--we want idealnumbers that will provide a nice reward but not unbalance the game
if you die without killing or delivering anything you get nothing
This is master level content and we NEED master level content BADLY.
When the time alloted expires, thefactionNPC would be like "You've done a great service for our cause today pilot. You will be rewarded."
Using the Paemos FS village code, a # to # conversion slider box will appear, and you'll convert Prestige to faction.
Also, using the swoop race best time badge code, the fastest blockade runner and highest kill total guy will get a badge. People love competing and getting badges.
With demand for FP at an all-time high with new faction armor and bases, and FP relatively difficult to accumulate by other space means,this would get more people involved in space to achieve what they need---a very good thing. And it's open ended content, you can do it over and over once you earn Prestige. And try for the badge (very hard)
I bring this to the forums because I think
1) it'd be a wonderful thing for SWG and the player base.
2) it'd be relativelyquick and require little development resources to implement as it primarily relies on existing systems in the code. Easy-to-do content ideas are something the devs have asked for since day 1.
3) We need master level content and we need more GCW. Badly.
Any chance of running this idea by the devs, TomoRainer? (Tomo is a great corr.)

Well thought out.
Eloquently stated.
However, good luck with this one. Most of us have taken to space because the Jedi rule the ground. Lots of pilots see space as the last vestige of continuity, a place where each player takes his natural skills to the table without having to think about things like FP, Jedi grinding, the village...exc. We just blast stuff, and show off our hot-rods.
No offence, but if I were Dev I give you thumbs down, only because I firmly believe that Jedi have done enough to destroy the game. Leave them, and anything to do with them on the ground.

Um, what? lol. What in my post had to do with Jedi?! It has nothing remotely to do with Jedi.
I simply want to extend the current earning of FP in space.

Sorry, we saw the words village andconversion, and our brains immidiately made us think of prestige to FS conversion lol
I do like the idea of FP conversion.... it might push more people to deep space

We've made plenty of posts here about what to do with our millions of prestige. SOE announced capital ships at fanfest. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the 2 were linked.
That aside, FP is already easily gotten in Deep Space. I would prefer to see prestige used for reacquiring reward items, deco objects for MP ships,extraships and so on.

Prestige converting to FS in space would be asinine.
I fear my FP idea will derailed now because someone misread me.
Please voice your support, we need to be able to convert Prestige to FP in space. And we need the content.
