this is a good idea!
jedi should be able to block inside a small starfighter, they should just open their cockpick and deflect incoming blaster bolts with their sabre!
not to say that cloak should work in space, you affect the mind of people around you, so why not the ones of enemy pilots?
choke is another nice special that have to be implemented, you focus on the engine of enemy fighter and it begin to choke it 
stasis is another good power that must be used in space... think the fun to use it on an enemy pilot while he is flying in planet direction and to watch him crush to the ground cause he can't pilot anymore!!!1

Or, you could strap 6 of your best Jedi friends to your ship, have them turn on their sabers, and proceed to block almost every blaster bolt from enemy fighters.
Well, back before the CU, this would've worked better, considering the 85% block rate they had going.
