I could use some tips on disabling the corvette solo for the advanced x-wing quest on kashyyyk.

Check the stickies, they contain a link to EXACTLY what you need, a step-by-step guide to it.


Oh, my mistake, that's DESTROYING the Vette ... but I'd think doing most of that would be enough for you. If it's not able to shoot or move, that's pretty close to disabled.

1- find it

2-agro escorts

3-kill them all

4-kill the gun boats(if your lazy like me skip to step 5)

5- using cap overcharge and shields to shunts run into the vette launch a missile and get away

6 - do step 5 trageting shiled , 2nd shields and then engine, repeat until all 3 are disable

7- if you skip step 4 wait for the gun boats to leave

8- same as step 5 but using blasters take out the guns

9-take out the reactor andthe bridge

10-if you skip step 4 go kil the boats now so the next vette will spawn


pratice makes perfect


ohh disable for the mission on kassk?

disable escorts dont kil them

same steps as destroy- but dont destry it

and do 6k from the exit point hear someone said this not sure

ohh and stay away from thoose nasty gunboats

On the Heavy X corvette mission after you kill the escort ships, just relax until the corvette is about 7k or so away from the Rebel outpost.. get up under and to the rear of it, and use missiles to take out shields 1 and 2, then take out engines.. from below and rear is a good safe spot more or less from its turrets, after the engine is taken out, stay there and wait for the crew to retake the ship, If it is at all possible do not take out any of its turrets, you will need them to escort it the rest of the way. By taking it out around 7k or so, away you will only have to worry bout 3 maybe 4 waves of fighters to deal with. The 4th wave has 1 Gunboat, the 5th wave has 2 more. So hopefully it leaves area before those two waves come in. Other than that pretty simple..

Not the Kessel vette. The Kashyyyk one.


I did this quest a couple hours ago for a guildie who is 4333 and has a junk Xwing with junk parts and no droid. Soloing for me would have been cake.


First of all, DO NOT SHOOT THE VETTE when killing fighters. So that said, fly in and kill the fighters. Dont overshoot and hit the Corvette. Dont listen to others and shoot Gun#5 on the vette.


Good, now that the fighter screen is down, and you have not yet shot the vette, it wont be aggroed on you yet. Fly up and follow as close behind the engines as you can (this is a blindspot in the gun pattern). Once the corvette is about 5500 meters from the Rebel station, target the shield component, and launch a MKII spacebomb at them. Once you shoot this the vette will agro on you, so make sure that if it turns, you stay right behind it. Now, after 1 spacebomb, the shield generator should be down. Then target the secondary shield generator and launch another MKII spacebomb at it. Once the secondary shield is down, target the engine, and hit it with another MKII spacebomb.


Now, the thing should be disabled. Just sit behind it while your NPC commandoes take over the Corvette. Once they have got the vette back moving, the vette wont shoot you, and you are on an escort mission. If you got close enough to the rebel station, you should only have a couple of waves of fighters to take out before mission success.


One more thing to remember is that even after the vette is in your friends' control, if you shoot it, it will shoot back. The only thing you should hit the vette with is the 3 spacebombs you use to take down the shields and engine. If you disabled it too far from the station, the escort portion runs longer, and you may encounter gunboats. If you do, well, just dont make that mistake and things are a lot easier.
