I was wondering how to change squadrons. I am 1111 in Imperial pilot and when I went to the imperial pilot trainer in Kaadara to join the Imperial Inquisition, he said I didnt have the security clearence. Do I have to be a certain level in pilot to change?

You have to talk to a guy right outside the Bestine Capitol (note to all 'Capitol Ship' people - THIS is the way you use 'Capitol') who's the Imperial Pilot Coordinator. Only through him can you drop your current squadron.

Just be wary - you lose all your accrued xp as well, and I THINK until P20 goes live, you have to make sure you're not inspired when you drop. That might've been fixed already, I dunno.

K thanks, but when I talk to him, he asks me if I want to retire from the Imperial Navy. Is that what I'm supposed to do?

Yes, it will invalidate all your current achievements and bring you back to square one, but you'll remain in the faction itself (you're in the Imperial ARMY at the same time. You'll then be able to apply to another squadron.

If not, it's in the CSR's hands.

Be sure you don't have any active missions before you do it, too.

Actually, there are three Imperial Coordinators, in Theed, Kor Vella, and Bestine. I'd use the one in Theed, it's a short shuttle ride to the Inquisition's first trainer in Kaadara. You can leave your ship in your datapad, though you can't use it until you get back to 1000, so be sure you have one slot left.

Wanted to see if anyone could clue me in on some info about changing pilot Squadrons. My main is currently a Havoc Squadron Ace. If I were to resign Havoc and level, say, Vortex, do you receive all the reward parts/ jacket/ helmet the second time through, or do you simply get the additional badge?

You'll get everything... Reward items, jacket, helmet, and medal (unless you're female ) and the 2x XP bonus makes the second squadron go by quicker.
