The specs for the ship says 3 guns and 1 ordnance. Does a countermeasure count as an ordnance? I have 3 guns, a missile launcher and a countermeasure loaded. For what ever reason I can't seem to fire my missiles. Am I doing something wrong?
I feel like such a noob. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. Thank you.

Countermeasures and Ordenance are completely different things.
Odrenance = Missile.
Countmeasures = Things that are supposed to distract missiles from your ship.
You might not be able to fire your missiles because you dont have them added to a weapongroup. That or you didnt buy missiles to put in the launcher.

Your countermeasure launcher has to be in a weapon group too for it to fire.
Another possible reason is you don't have enough power and it is disabled. Hit V and make sure the disabled icon is not beside your launchers. Chances are good it is the weapon group thing though.
