Thread: I don't see much about the Bellbulab on here

I don't see many comments about the bellbulab 22 ship on here and the people that use it. Is there something about it that I am missing out on here?

I am a rebel pilot (4433) so don't really have the means to get hold of a JSF without dropping all my skills and regrinding afterwards (something which I would rather not do).

I fully understand the reluctance of people on here to use ships which many consider to be unbalenced but I love the look of this little ship so much and NEVER partake in PvP so I carry on using it as my main fighter.

i have a Bell-22 and have supplied about 4 or 5 to my other PA mates that are high enough to use it. We all love it. Put a nice fast engine in it with a decent YPR and you can zip around pretty well. It's also small and has a nice tiny hit box. 90k just like the JSF to work with.

The only complaint is that there are only 2 textures for it. texture 1 and texture 2 through 6 which all look the same. but that's easy enough to overlook.

It also has some issues with some weapons. Certain weapon combinations result in graphics placeholders and the ship wont fire properly.

oh you are right about that...

i put my ionic pulse weapon on the second hard point and it showed up as one of those black boxes with red questions marks on it.

moving the gun to my first hardpoint worked ok.

ah right I got you, I think I remember hearing something about that and ion weapons. I have always used blasters as both hardpoints so I guess I have no worries hehe.

I haven't tried the other texture kit, just been using the one it comes with albeit in a strange set of colours for now (orange and white). Anyone got a quick link to pics of them offhand? I am sure I can find some around somewhere so no worries if you don't.

/*edit*/ Play around whith what boosters you put on it, you can get some awesome hotrod-looking pipes down the sides with the right set

Imps and freelancers get the JSF. Rebel gets the Heavy-X for PvE, which is viable in PvP with the right skill and equipment. Rebels that like light ships were flying the A-wing and some are still flying it in PvP. Leaves the group of Bel-22 flyers quite small. 384 for sale on vendor search(eclipse) last time I checked.

i like my JSF better for looks, the Belbullab just looks too much like a cadilac with guns.

I dont know why people dont complain about this though only the JSF. probably only jedi can get it easily without paying for it.

Just had a look at the texture pics and I have to say I am highly disapointed, not only are there only 2 to choose from but I had to look very closely to spot the differences between them. It is a bit of a wasted opportunity I feel, this ship would look awesome with a full custom flame job done on it especially with the big fat chrome pipes down the side that my boosters give.

(yes I would like to just be able to pose in it)

Personally, I just take all the posts concerning the JSF to include the B22.

Similar, almost identical, stats.

Got the JSF for my imp and the B22 for my smuggler.

do you have to kill necrosis to be able to use a B22?

I use it as a dedicated mining ship... it works well in that purpose... and the whole second hand classic starfighter used in a non-combat role thing fits the Clone ships nicely.

Nope. Get the ship, use the ship.
