If you mean a quest to get one as an Imperial, no. To get the ARC, or the Jedi Starfighter, you need to be the correct faction and do the quest.

For the ARC, make sure you undeed the ship before switching back, even if it means a tedious grind to 4-x-x-x because if you switch factions and dont undeed it, you cant ever generate it, and will have to do the quest again.

Above posters are quite correct. You have to be a Rebel Combatant on the ground to get the ARC-170, and you have to be Rebel anything on the ground to generate it from deed. (I'm not 100% sure, but I believe even undeclared cannot generate it from deed). You'd have to switch to Rebel, grind up to 4xxx in either Rebel or Freelancer pilot... then go Combatant on the ground to do the mission. Finish the mission, generate the ship into your datapad. THEN you switch back full Imperial.

Now.. is it WORTH it? I personally think the ARC-170 is a fairly amazing and commonly overlooked ship. I definitely loves mine. It handles actually REAL well for something with 2 turrets.. and it is quite easy to use as a Gunship buster. Worth changing from Imp. to Rebel and back to Imp.? That's more your call.

I think I get it, just wanna check...

Im a master Freelance Pilot, Imperial with -5000 reb faction points...

I just bought a deed, didnt know I wouldnt be able to pilot it,now if I go rebel and do the ground mission I can then fly it..? No need to be a rebel pilot too..? BTW I dunno what the mission is either, I'll look into that if I can find this out.

Thankyou for any information.

I am rebel, went imp to get the JSF. I'd done the Arc misison before I'd gone imp to get the jsf. I left all my ships in my datapad, so that I would be able to use them straight away once I reached that certain level. As I'd left the Arc generated I could use it. I'm assuming that the Arc is the same as the JSF for rebels, you get the cert in all factions, you just need the pilot level to generate and fly it. However. I recently redeeded my arc to try and fix the turret bug, and found I couldn't redeed the ship as it thought I hadn't done the fecking mission. So I had to go do the misison again, now I have 2 Arc's. It's a cracking ship, turns on a sixpence and can take 2 gunners. I would think if you leave it as a deed, then go back Imp, once you reach the correct level, you should be able to generate the ship.

Good luck in trying.

The ARC 170 is not the same as the Eta-2. It has 125k mass to the Eta's 90k and has places for 2 gunners and a pilot. I got the ARC by using my smuggler to buy faction to go reb temporarily but still had to get a reb pilot to do the lsat part of the mission. Now I am neutral again with the ARC. My other toon is Imp and can not get the mission. If anyone know a way to do it without going over to the rebel side please let us know. Thanks

My friend flies the ARC-170, hes a I think afreelance pilot for a company not sure what the name was, but hes a full fledge Imperial ground trooper. Not a Imperial naval pilot. So something is wrong in this picture.
