Finally finished my second tier 3 Storm Squadron mission and strapped my pre-nerf MandalMotors "Inferno" Engine in my Interceptor. Talk about speed! The thing does just over 92 kph without a boost. By they way, about how much do the pre-nerf engines go for at auctions?

If he's looking to RE, then why would he spend tons of money on identical pre-nerf reward engines? I just loot 5 more L6 engines and get an engine with the bonus top speed of the reward, lower mass, and better PYR from the loot.

to answer his question, the sell for 500k to 20 mil.
IMHO they are worth about 1-2 million.
they are definately worth the most to Imps with the mass restrictions.
as a nuetral i can slam in a tier 9 101 spd engine that just destroys the reward engine. mind you it weighs about 20k more... but i dont have mutch mass restrictions at master nuetral.

They are quite handy for A-wings too.

I just flew an Interceptor for the first time with my pre-nerf, and it seems to me it might actually be better off with a slower engine--like the level 6 reward they give out now. Reason being is you're flying so damn fast that to stay on anything's tail you have to slow down to the point where you can't turn at your ship's max ability, which on an Interceptor is right around maximum thrust. And forget about those sad Y-Wings and B-Wings.. when you're going slow enough to stay behind them, they can actually turn better than you can. You're better off doing strafing runs on them.
A pre-nerf engine in an Interceptor is about the ideal for strafing runs, though. I just finished tier 3 of Black Epsilon and had to resort to dashing in and out of packs of fighters surrounding a gunship or Nova. Not sure I could have done that in anything much heavier.
