Thread: Need Help: Imperial Inquisition Tier 3 Mission 3 Nova Courier

Hi Guys,
anyone got any advise on taking out the Nova Courier?
I have tried taking it out 5 times but each time got blasted instead. Is there a particular technique or a blind spot on the Nova?

Come at the Nova's from the bottom. Aim for the nose and you hit the body. Do your best to approach under the nose if it's chasing you.
Do you have bomber strike yet? Use it when you are about 1000m away. Bomber Strike is amazingly powerful. Let the bombers work down the nova for you.
I solod this back when the ships were wayyyy to fast. I did fast runs against the courier, targeting the guns, then ran like heck and let my shields regen. Eventually, I got through and took out the guns. I then disabled the engines (very important), then dispatched the escort. Once the escort was done, I finished off the courier.
It may work to find the closest hyperspace point, attack, then hyperspace.
It may work to go in, attack the fighters, run, then take out the fighters. This assumes that the Nova doesn't chase you down, too. If you need to break aggro, hyperspace to the same quadrant. This will let you approach the nova from the optimal direction.
It took about eight missions and five deaths to figure it out.
If nothing else, remember the hyperspace trick and use bomber strike!!!

All great suggestions. Another is to find one master wingman and let him eat the nova as a tasty snack!

Take your trustworthy TIE Bomber, load it up with Tier 3 gear (if you have gotten that skill prior to the mission).
Aim for the weapons and go in with all guns blasting (and some missiles won't hurt), you should be able to take out one weapon in the first pass unless you miss a lot, if not you should be able to take both instead on the second as the shields are down.
As for the actual runs, go in at attack speed (2/3 3/4 speed for bombers), and as you get very near it (50m), hit full speed and activate your booster to get 600m away as fast as possible. Stay out of range to charge your shields if needed and go in for the second run. Once the weapons are gone it is a sitting duck.
