Well besides getting in to deep space it is not good for much of anything, and thoughts 30k are easy to get back once in DS.

Well I had an idea of what we could use it fore. What if we could spend prestige XP, to buy the mission reward components we get while levelling? Say 1k Faction points and 1m prestige XP to get a tire 4 mission component like the borstel or boltdriver or other level 4 stuff. We could in theory drop the profession and relearn it to get the parts again, so it would not be to unbalancing. It would make RE mission reward items replaceable, and would thus make decays on them matter less.

I am being a bit selfish here, as I had a full inventory when I completed the mission that gave me the L8 reward shield. While I do plan to get RotW for my alt account and do repeated profession grinds with it to get the rewards that way, it would be much simpler for everyone (especially for the ones that somehow lost thairs) if we could just but then for FP and prestige XP.

Edit: Forgot to mention that we should of cause only be able to but the components of the squadron we are currently a master in.

My opinion is that since the Devs have kinda reversed their old stance on high-speed engines, there should be a way for Aces to spend their prestige to purchase said items and inter-trade them - like a pre-nerf L6 for a pre-nerf L8 to offset crappy Starmap rewards.

Borstels/Tricannons and Boltdrivers are easy to get - just keep checking the vendor search and you'll find someone who didn't bother to look at their inventory selling them for 8-80k.

Gotten five Borstels/Incoms that way, but only ONE Boltdriver.

Oh yeah, I've gotten more than 15 reward shields the Vendor Search way, too.

Who needs to multi-Ace when people don't look at their invs or bother to come here to realize you get rewards?

Would be nice to use prestige points for more than DS.

I was thinking about letting the chassis dealer being a prestige-point hawk, wanting them all. So we could "buy" different things from him for prestige points. Some of the things:

Different furniture for POB ships

Weapons where you can specify what effect it has (crappy stats?)

Maybe a radio that you can use while your on your ship, and call up any trainer in the space sector your in, so you didn't have to land to get a mission. (Don't know about this one, might just be me that's lazy )

Color/texture kits (Neon pink anyone?)

Stuff. I want stuff. Clothes, helmets, furniture, just stuff in general. None of those things would effect the game in any way (except maybe cutting tailors/architects out of a small section of the market), but would actually let us do something with our prestige.

A giant floating space bar that costs prestige to enter wouldn't be bad, either.

Well, at the very least, I'd like a way to purchase new titles for 50 mill and up, so we could start to distinguish the "Do it for me" Aces from the "Did it for myself" ones.

Then again, THEN you'd get Aces wanting to bum off people's MP ships and POBs because they wouldn't want to kill the ships to earn 50 mill+ themselves.
