I'm new to this , the various guides in the FAQ are a little old. They dont mention RoTW ships or DS.

I'm told a trip to DS will cure all dammage without decay , is this right ?

I go to DS and it's full of Reb corvettes. There seem to be far less Imp NPC ships.

On the other hand the Star Destroyer has 5 times as many guns as the Reb base. Is this meant to be balenced? [Im not syaing it isn't , I'm asking if it's intentional]

I buzzed the reb base , hilarious. I got lots of 'shield hit effect' graphics , but almost no dammage. anyone explain that ?

Does the SD repair its systems ever ? or is it just a long decline till its destroyed then respawns ?

Later I went back to DS , the SD was all healed up , and space was empty. Was this after someone killed the SD ? does it take long for all the Reb corvettes to come back ?

Thankyou

In response to:

#1 - Yes, the Deep Space Armor and Ship Repair Service is a topic of much controversy.

#2 - DS is pretty much the only [reliable] place Imperial pilots can go to farm faction (you have to declare before entering to get FP - kinda redundant, but hey, them's the breaks) - Rebels have the entire goddamned galaxy (complete with several reliable Tier 4 static spawns), and Kessel is a graveyard where the ten escorts that spawn with the Rebel Vette can be considered a "good-sized spawn" now.

#3 - Turret AI seems to have trouble reliably hitting anything that travels faster than the current AI max of 989kph. Also, the AI seems linear, so if you roll and move around, it seems to confuse the hell out of the computer. The only exception to this are the turrets on gunboats and NPC POB ships - they seem to be pretty lethally accurate compared to the ISD/FS turrets.

#4 - Only after a server reset. If it's damaged, it stays that way until someone puts it out of its misery. Same goes for the FS...if it could actually be DAMAGED right now.

#5 - Once the ISD is killed, all the Imperial ships hyper out. I think this also effects the Rebel spawns as well, since I think they're tied into each other at a 1:1 ratio.

Death doesn't fly a JSF anymore...he flies a Gallente Thorax in EVE Online

Thanks :

Though its not that reliable for farming ... I've been killed by Rebs several times when going there to try farming. Not seen a single [other] Imp pilot there yet. {Chimera} Though I've talked to Imps who have been there.

Sadly neither I nor my ship is up to PvP yet. And its not a very forgiving system
