OK I'm thinking about changing neutral squads from RSF to CORSEC once i finaly get my master badge (my token respec seems to be hindering it). The question i have is this do I just go and drop all my skills or do i have to go and talk to somebody first?

The FAQ stickied at the top of the forums explains what you need to do to change squadrons.

I have looked at the guid an still have a question. I'm just changing squads (still staying neutral) do i still have to empty my ships or can i leave them with thier components in them to use while doing my new squad?

You can leave your ships loaded with gear, but you'll still have to regrind the boxes/do the missionto get the certifications to fly them in the new squadron. You won't be able to use your kimogila at novice for example. And pilot trees don't respec because they don't cost points and it's no fun respec-ing them anyway.

You can have ships with components in your datapad when you drop your current squad. In fact, I advise you to go out and buy a Scyk heavy variant. Load it up with all your good gear BEFORE you drop RSF and it'll make your start so much easier. Or you could go with the dunelizard, but you won't be able to use that one straight off the bat.
Level 8 RE'd reward guns tear thru tier 1 ships like nothing else...it's a joy to behold

Already did as such. Made my heavy skyck a while ago and loded it up alone with my dunelizard.
