The rebel station in DS is broken, has been for months. You can't hurt it.

Yeah. It's been that way for quite a while.
From all my testing of it, it appears as though the components are placed in the correct locations graphically (at least the guns, not certain where the shield generators should be on it), but their location as far as a hitbox goes, is somewhere *inside* the station. The easiest way to prove this is head out there, pick a gun out on the edge of the station, and do a /launchmissle at it. This dummy missle will fly straight towards the center of the station and disappear inside. Seems to tell me someone screwed up on the targetting locations/hitboxes (maybe the same guy then got sent to make the RGI)

that sucks, so, in a round about way, you're saying it probably will never work??? at least at the normal rate of progress made to repair old bugs.

In SOE terms, yeah, it'll be a while before they get it fixed.
From a programmers POV, it's a simple "Copy the coordinates of their location over to the coordinates of their hitboxes; increase coordinates to size needed for hitbox". That's saying they were smart and just made it simple like that.

the crap of it is, corvettes AND the ISD had the same problem when the CU went live. they fixed the vettes and the ISD, but left the rebel base bugged.
