Quick question.


Weapon Mark I dam 200-400 refire rate of 0.353, energy per shot 17.5


The re-fire rate, is that approx 3 shots per second ... ? or is there a calculation to determine the per shotover time.

1/ (refire rate) is how many shots per second. 0.353 basically means it can shoot once every 0.353 seconds

thats what I have calculated at, but it seems a bit excessive. Currently at work so cant test.


just had a thought, I havnt calculated the recharge of the capacitor while laying down a volley.

Ive tested it the cheap way, counting one-onethousand, two-onethousand while firing the guns. Seems acurate enough and id get roughly 3 shots a second with a .3XX gun.

Weapon 1 251.5 / 457 0.353 17.5
Weapon 2 251.5 / 457 0.353 17.5

Weapons Capacitor


energy 914.6

recharge rate 28

time to recharge : 33 secs


weapon energy = (1 / 0.353) * 17.5 * 2 (number of guns)

number of shots = cap energy / weapon energy


determine number of shots to depleat cap


then time to recharge / number of shots = new cap energy


then new cap energy / number of shots = below



WARNING : Weapons capacitor can only fire a volley of 37 shots before Energy is depleated in 13 seconds


which looks much more realistic.



no have to rework this

a refire rate of .350 would be 1/3.50 shots in a second which is approximately 2.8 shots per second.

WARNING : Weapons capacitor can only fire a volley of 83 shots before Energy is depleated


based on this one weapon continues fire will shoot83 shots thats the energy per secdevided by the cap energy, but at the same time the recharge rate of the cap is adding a small amount back in, but not enought, as the recharge rate is less than the energy out.


new energy = energy 914.6 / 49 (out)*33 secs = 615.


number of shots = newenerg (1529 / 49(out) = (31 shot * (1/weaprr) =87 shots in 31 secs



2 weapons = energy out 96


new energy = energy 914.6 /96 (out)*33 secs = 314.


number of shots = newenerg (1228 / 96(out) = (12 shot * (1/weaprr) =35 shots in 12 secs



3weapons = energy out 147


new energy = energy 914.6 /147 (out)*33 secs = 205.


number of shots = newenerg (1119 / 147 (out) = (7 shot * (1/weaprr) =21 shots in 7 secs



4weapons = energy out 196


new energy = energy 914.6 /196 (out)*33 secs = 153.


number of shots = newenerg (1067 / 196(out) = (5 shot * (1/weaprr) =15 shots in 5 secs

well I hope it works, stuck at work so cant put pen and paper to actual testing.


but the loadout program looks like its showing the right numbers


and I got a sticker of a headache working it out, even thought it looks hard, its pretty easy once i figured (hope its right) out.

new energy = energy 914.6 /49 (out)*33 secs = 314.


number of shots = newenerg (1228 / 49(out) = (12 shot * (1/weaprr) =35 shots in 12 secs


Rate of recharge per second = 28
Rate of depletion per second = 49


differance = 49 -28=21 energy per second


914.6 / 21 = 43 secs - 43 / ((1 / 0.353 refire rate) = 2.8 ) = 120 shots


i hate clever clogs.... but at least he is right , so cant complain.
