Thread: A-Wing... How do you get a fast refire rate?

I bought an A-wing weeks ago. I'm 4333 Rebel pilot. With its One gun and low mass i cant equip it half a well as my xwing. It's fast, but wirh such a slow refire ate on te one gun, where as I can stagger 3 guns on my X, how do yo guys survive... its their a speed bonus at master, is there a gun under 50k mass that I'm not seeing ... Help me obi-wan. Your my only hope.

I have a Heavy Blaster (Level 7) from a shipwright which has a refire rate of 0.280. Its damage isn't huge, but because I have a decent cap that is only used for one gun I can fire a continuous stream of fire (I can fire for over 2 minutes non-stop without my cap drying up), which is great when you are in a fast craft as you are often so busy dodging those accurate shots come rarely anyway. I find it better to just pepper the target with shots and concentrate on what is firing at my fragile craft.
So if you want a gun with a fast refire rate, get one from a shipwright with the refire rate experimented upon. You may get lucky and loot enough decent guns to RE, but until then the shipwright should be your best friend.

As said, a crafted gun can be made to be fast, but another option is to use a heavy hitting gun with a weapon overload program and pick your shots. I use a reverse engineered Reward gun and weapon overload2.

i use a re'd lvl8 reward gun with a .37 refire. it makes up for that with 3876 max damage and .68 to shields and armor. i dont hold the trigger down when dogfighting, i place individual shots and i like to consider myself extremely accurate. if you want massive firepower and nothing else the awing is not for you.
if you want a fast manuverable platform that can fly right up your targets tailpipe and stay there scoring consistant hits till it explodes while being a small target yourself and not taking anywhere near as many hits as other ships, then learn to fly and equip an wing and you will become one of the best.
