Thread: WHERE DO LOOTED ENGINES DROP??

Hello all. Got 2 chars both around 4333. Looted many components. I know have this impression that certains spots yields more of certain type of loot. For example, linear miasma in Endor drops more level 8 shields. Can anyone share where he feels there is more ENGINE drops?? For the last 2 mil xp got only 3 miserables engines...please help!

Got over 4 mil xp in my carreer and many looted components. But only a few engines, and all crappy. My feeling is that certains spots yield more of a certain type of loot. For example linear misasma in Endor yield more shields, lvl 8. Anybody who would share spots where engines dropped more than elsewhere???

I really dobut one place drops stuff more than another place. I think its just one of those things that makes you random things look not so random. Anyway, if your comparing your engine to the old reward engine, you'll never find one like that.

Anywhere, I have found a good place to go loot is the big hutt spawn point in Tattoine. You have about 6 -8 tier 1 hutts there. If you have a good ship you can sit there and loot a bunch of stuff. I usually get a full inventory in 20min, being an ace and getting 1 shot 1 kill, and getting loot leves ranging from 1 -8. Also spend a good while in Kessel and fill your inventory there. You will find some good engines out of that. Also try collecting a certain level for RE (ex: 8 re level 8 engines) RE'ing will take the best stat out of every part you got and it generally gives the stats a little bump too.

i have gotten over 50million pilot prestige all together and have never seen a decent engine other than my prenerf reward. if you ask me its a lost cause.

Over 20 mill here on my main and just Ace on my alt.
Kessel for Level 10
T4 spawns for 6-8 (pick you favorite spot)
I have looted and RE'd (by myself, and for my own use) 2 Lvl 10 engines (so 20 Lvl 10 engines) both are a bit heavy but ~90 speed and ~80ish YPR. I also have a few Lvl 8's (like 24 engines total) great mass <30K mass, 94+ speed and very high 70's to 80's YPR.
Just keep hitting it and fill you inventory a few times. I have noticed that I will go on streaks for a while. Like no LVL 10 weapons for a month, then I get them every other day

have you looted a 90+ speed lvl8 since they nerfed engines? ive never seen a engine drop over 90. best ive seen is a lvl10 with 89.8, not a lvl8 with 90 or even with a mid 80s that will re up to 90.

I have a looted lvl 8 engine that is 101.9, 25k mass and 68.0ish on all the other stats- works great really only need one more lvl 8 engine to get this thing RE'd. In my advanced if i stuff this in and use engine overload 3 i cruise around at over 1300, booster up to near 1600. i love it. I also had my pre-nerf reward engine re'd its now 95.6 or somthin close and only 8k mass. I will agree thoin the last 4-5 weeks I haven't looted anything faster than like 89.somthin. They musta nerfed it all down. Oh ya and for my decimator I found a player crafted 102.8 engine with huge mass- but at least its fast. I get all my loot in D-space.

I have looted level 10 engines, but I fly an A-wing and level 10 engines don't work in a 65k mass ship. I am a master pilot and have grinded everywhere looking for engines and have only been able to loot level 1 or level 2 ones. I have a prenerf 92.2 engine and have been trying deseperately to find 5 other level 6 engines so I can RE it and haven't been able to. A bit frustrating.

My husband and I only use up to level 8 components (except he goes all out with the level 10 stuff in his YT hehe), since they can have really nice stats at a decent mass. I get most of my level 1 - 8 components for REing just from doing the missions from Yavin and Dantooine space stations. I tend to get more level 7 and 8's from the Dant missions, since it has more tier 3's mixed in. When that gets boring, I play with tier 4's in Endor or Tier 5's in Kessel for higher level components.I looted several level 8 engines tonight, from the Dant space station mission, and was able to RE my engine. Went from 88ish speed, 60's YPR and 34k mass to 92.9 speed, 75ish YPR and 21k mass. Not too shabby.

i notice in the last week that i been looting more capicator armor and shields. and the amount of weapons , engines have droped. or been of a poorer quality then those that have been crafted. not saying the SW got space loot nerfed but the quility has gone done for me
