Thread: New ships Quests?

I'm interested in finding out about the quests for the new ships. My understanding is that the Jedi Starfighter and the ARC 170 are both going to be quest items. What quest? Where?
I understand that all the ships will require materials mined from asteroids, any intell on what those materials may be?

From what Ive seen of the tre files, Vader gives the quest for the Jedi starfighter, but I dont know if its the vader in the retreat or another one somewhere else. The others Ive not seen anything for. Well, I probably have but the vader text specifically says "Im giving you the plans to my old starfighter" etc

I've seen some discussion on this but haven't seen an answer. It was said that everyone could get the Jedi Starfighter, but if Vader gives you the quest how does a rebel get it? Guess we will find out soon since release of ROTW is tomorrow.

Due to NDA I can't say anything except that IMHO pilots are going to be very disappointed with the way these are aquired.

That smacks of a ground based quest haha
It works for me either way, tho a mix of space and ground would be the best/most funto me.
Btw, the game comes out tomorrow, why havent they lifted the NDA yet like they did with JTL?

My guess is that an Imperial goes and gets it, and either is a Shipwright who learns it, or gives/sells it to a Swipwright who learns it.

I agree - I have a feeling its prolly going to be tied to the Trando Station dungeon somehow.
And yes, I would have a problem with it, since space and JTL in general are not nearly as popular as we would like to think, and eliminating all pilots who don't have a decent ground combat level from obtaining it will just add to the lack of pilots on alot of our servers.
