Thread: New Patch notes restarting quests!

Quests



  • Some quests may now be abandoned using the Quest Journal. In the future, additional quests may be abandoned using this feature.

  • Secrets of the Syren quest givers should now give the chapter 3 quests.

  • Secrets of the Syren quest, chapter 4 should be able to be completed.

  • Lady Valarian's Quest Series: Kavas Urdano has temporarily stopped giving out her first quest if you have never spoken to her before.





Does this mean what I think it means? I may finally get to do the Kashyyyk corvette mission?

Dunno. "Abandon" doesn't literally mean "quit so you can restart." It might just mean, "Quit so you can remove the quest from the 'active quests' list in the journal, and have niether the option to continue or restart."

Yes, it is a matter of pessimism and semantics, but I guess we'll all find out tomorrow, right?

As much as I'd LIKE to run the Starmap again without new-alt-hopping, I hope they don't implement it for it.

More fun with words:


I was assuming also that you couldn't "abandon" a quest you had "finished."


Though I suppose that would leave things open to exploitable rewards.


Do the CPG quests arc until you get the ion cannon, quit, restart. Do Nym's quests until you get the QID, quit, restart.


That would be rather nasty.

Alt hoppin woudlnt be in use so damn much if they had made the parts standard in stats to begin with.

I really dislike the random stat thing.

Well, my concern stems from Starmap parts flooding the market. Remember how HARD it used to be to find good L10s?

To me it sounds like you can end a current leg of a quest and pick it up again. since rewards are given at end of each leg wouldn't help you at all. this is just my humble .02

tbh I couldnt give a flying feck about anyone quitting their quests to get loads of QIDs, I would however like access to certain quests, such as the heavy Xwing one that are blocked to me.

I want access to the tier 5 duties that I lost, if having to redo the RGI quest is the way to do, fine. The game can keep the rewards, just give me my quest access I lost when I jumped profs.
