Thread: Master Missions: Ideas that will never get implemented

Those sound like they would be alot of fun and fill the void for an end game.

That mirror match is interesting, although, if they are flying my shields...hmm, would be interesting.

I'm sure someone has had the idea before, but I figured I would throw out some ideas for missions you should be able to take after you hit master. Tier 5 missions, basically.
Loot Mission: Like a normal destroy duty mission but at the end you receive a random loot item from a specific category. For example, if you take the level 8 weapon mission you will receive a random level 8 weapon when you complete the mission and return to the mission giver. This way you are at least guaranteed one shot at the kind of item you are looking for.
Furball Mission: Similar to destroy duty missions except that you face a large number of enemies right away with little or no breaks in between waves. This could help relieve camping problems in the static spawn areas. This mission, like escort duty missions, never end until you leave the system or land.
High Risk Escort: Similar to an escort duty mission except the enemy waves attack fast and furious. The action should be nonstop until the escort ship is destroyed or hypers out successfully. Cash rewards on successful escorts, none on failures.
Group Mission: These can be any of the duty mission types currently available but the difference being that the number of enemy ships scales up with the number of players in a group doing the mission. Similar to ground-based missions this means more challenge and available xp for groups to encourage cooperative play.
Bomber Mission: A mission type that encourages the use of missiles and the various "heavy bomber" and POB type chassis.
Task Force Mission: An advanced type of group mission. Multiple objectives happen at the same time forcing the group to split up and accomplish goals around the system. Its possible these missions could be extremely difficult to complete but with those sweet sweet loot rewards we crave at the end.
High Risk Mining Missions: Another group based mission to mine a number of asteroid resource while under heavy fire. Group members performing an escort role for the miners is highly recommended.
Pirate Missions: Attack a guarded freighter and steal the booty from the cargo hold and deliver it to your contact somewhere in the system. Hostile ships will be very strong and combat will be very dangerous, but cash payout will be a little bigger than normal duty missions.
Mirror Match: Face waves of increasing size, similar to destroy missions with one twist: All enemies are exact duplicates of the ship you're flying including both the chassis type and the gear you have loaded.
Well, that's just a few I could come up with. I guess I'm just a little bored. =D

The mirror match idea came up because the PvE bad guys seem to have gear that's so far removed from what players actually use in PvP. I figured it might be a better way to hone your skills if you had to fight something with the type of gear you use yourself.

they would have to do alot of work with the AI... tier 5 AI in a player ship wouldn't have even the slightest chance.
