I am a 3-3-2-3 pilot and just loaded, WO4, EO3, and CtSS 4 into my lvl 4 astromech. Once I got up, I loaded up just WO4 and EO3. My weapons capacitor drained down to zero after like 2 or 3 shots, then crawled up too slow.

I am obviously overloading somewhere, but really could use WO4 to finish my last tier 3 mission. Any tips on how I can load this properly, or what I may be doing wrong? Thanks!

I noticed that you didn't have Capacitor Overcharge listed. Get that, it will help. WO4 does drain your capacitor very quickly, though. That's by design.

There is a huge show stopping bug with WO4 and EO4 do not use them.

Also before running any overload make sure you run reactor OL first.

Unfortunately now you have a bugged ship that cannot be repaired by normal means. There are 3 ways to fix the bug.

  1. goto deep space and exit

  2. re-deed the ship

  3. eject and repair

Pick your poison. next time run the reactor overload first and don't use wep OL4 or eng OL4 untill the devs get off there arses and fix these frelling bugs GAAAAA!

I do not see your running Reactor Overload either. If you don't have a Huge reactor you need to run it before running any other OL program. As another suggested, use WO3.

WHAT!?!? STOP IT NOW!!!!

Stop misinforming people. There is absolutely nothing wrong with WO4 or EO4. In fact, I would highly recommend running EO4 as it makes you turn like crazy. Both commands make the part use up 10x aw much energy as normal, so make sure your reactor is big enough and that you are running RO4, which will give you 1.9x your reactor's normal gen rate.

On the other hand WO3 IS bugged, but in a beneficial way. It will not use up as much energy as it supposed to, so unless you have room for a huge freaking reactor, or you'd rather run it than the higher level engine overloads, I'd recommend sticking with WO3.

My attitude is...

...if you have to use RO4 *now*, you didn't spec your ship right. RO3 is a no-decay 60% boost.

I just find it amazing you're actually able to RUN WO4 - must be a one-gun ship.

Thanks for advice guys. Yes Kayl, its a Heavy TIE with one gun. At tier three though, the damage is 1900-2800, not bad?

Who cares about decay? 30k Prestige = no decay for aces. Another 30% out of your reactor is a HUGE difference. If you aren't using all the mass and energy you possibly can, you probably didn't spec your ship right.

And who says they run WO4? I just said that it was absolutely not bugged and working exactly as intended.

Yeah, I'm running a Heavy TIE, with a mark II reactor, I run WO3, EO3, and CO3......as of now I don't need RO.

If and when they "fix" WO3 im sure I'll have to do some adjusting. No worries there, probably go to CO4 and conserve fire a bit more, may need to add a reactor overload then.

To reinforce what another poster said, there is nothing wrong with how WO4 and EO4 are working, it's supposed to use that much energy. WO3 is actually using much less energy that it is supposed to. Enjoy it while you can, but don't whine when they fix it. Though I know Rapax is right, the week after WO3 is fixed this board is gonna be chock-full of people crying and threatening to quit, wanting to use channel force to power their weapons...etc etc.

Almost correct. There is decay when using RO3. But RO3 is the ticket. Use RO3 for sure! If you can get away with it only use RO2, it has even less decay.

To make it simple load in RO3, WO3, EO3and Weapon Cap overload 3 *and cap to shield shunt 4 in your droid (105 datapad spaces)

Run RO3,WO3,EO3 and WC3 in that order and you'll be fine.
