im currently a rebel ace, and thinking of going privateer, most likely smugglers alliance or corsec. how do the privateer ships compare to the rebel ships?

bigger slower worse. until u fly the vaksai, which is still bigger, yet stronger and faster (if equipped properly, 150k mass is an insane amount with only 1 gunmount)

hmm, in the faq it seems that the privateer ships handle better......i dunno, i think i'll just stay rebel for now, i love the x wing too much

basically u buy a heavy scyk and fly it till u get the vaksai, then fly that forever. i do suggest you give it a go just to try the new flavors, but if u don't fly the uber heavy scyk/vaksai you probably won't like it. and when u go back reb u can try a new squad and get a new badge anyways. gives you something to do

Privateer get the best tier 1 ship in the game. I flew my Dunelizard all the way to 4444. Not many options for pvp other than the Belbullba-22. Normally I consider the relics a cheezy way to pvp but privateers don't get all that much. Then again I've been know to go crazy and pvp in a longprobe so hitbox isn't everything.

true.......i may ace Vortex, to finish the rebels off, then go SA, then corsec......but i won't go imperial to do those 3, and won't to rsf either, i made myself sick enough going imp to get the JSF.....and now i don't even use it, don't like it really, i think its ugly as sin and everyone flys it

Get a dunelizard, you'll love it. 
As to how they compare, I'm not sure, I haven't done rebel pilot yet. A friend who's done both likes the X-wing better than anything, but says the rest of the rebel ships suck and all of the privateer ones are at least usable.

Well, after doing imperial pilot, privateer made the Imperial shipsseem like a joke at PVE. The Rihkxyrk at tier 4 is better than the TIE oppressor (imperial master ship) at pve IMO. 3 guns, more mass, and seems to turn a bit better make up for its large hitbox. The Krayt at master privateer is just overkill
. 40k more mass than the imperial master ship, and extra gun slot, and another extra gun slot (but as a turret), and the same manuverability as the oppressor.

i'll go privateer and see, if i don't like it, at least it gives me an excuse to ace the vortex squadron when i go back to rebel.
