Thread: Idea on how to integrate capitol ships...

I've been thinking about this for a while now and I think I have come up with a way to integrate capitol ships without too much chaos, so here's my ideas.
1. Make capitol ships an Elite version of piloting.
2. To make sure not everyoen and their brother pilots a captiol ship make it a requirement to master all 3 of your factions squads, thus only the ones who have put their time in and are worthy get them. Now i can already here you imp pilots screaming aobut SS, this is countered by the fact that you have gunboats with extra guns and stuff.
3. Have a skill progression for the cap ships, i.e. for novice if your an imp you get a lambda, then for tier 1 you get theVT, then tier 2 you get the gunboat, tier 3 you get a lancer frigate, tier 4 a corvette and master oyu get the ISD. Rebs and neutral would have something similar.
4. Create additional space zones specifically desigend for large ships. And make some of these zones for capitol ships only thus helping to eliminate fighter lag.
5. As to having the turrets being controlled i think that droid engineers shouls have the ability to make computers that will work the turrets for you. The droid turrtets would have about the accuracy of around say 50% or so.
