Thread: Space Mystery ships that can be docked with not associated with a mission
I remember when I was going up my first pilot tree I saw a bunch of odd things floating around, like Imperial Science Researcher or something, also in Naboo space there's a spawn with 4 tier1 Ay'Nats and a tier2 YT-1300, and these are the same thing. If you go up a different pilot squadron, you will find missions that give you waypoints to these (and other) NPCs that would still be there in space even without the mission.
As to why you can get the cargo off one and not the other, that's more than likely due to the fact that once you've gathered cargo your 'cargo hold' (not related to the mining cargo holds) is full, since it only holds one item. So when you go to the other ship, you're full, because you still have the first cargo.
Does this help?

Not really, because these ships are new..
You see, I've done all 9 pilot squadons, so I would recognize the ships (wrote notes on all 9 squadrons, what ships you face and in what location in space) had I encountered them before. The corvette in Yavin space is certainly new.
I guess the mystery continues then.
You mean the one thats just a piece of 'terrain' by the rebel space station, or an actual Vette?

I'm pretty sure I remember a Vette in Yavin since the begining a disabled one right?
Fuss
Perhaps these are the same thing except for missions we haven't discovered or were disabled because they were too cool.

I think the Corvette in Yavin space is the instanced ground Corvette misson ship and it may only show up in space when someone is doing one of the Ground Corvette missions. I've seen it off and on since JTL launched.
That's pretty cool, if it's true. If you or anyone else here has a waypoint to it, I'd like to check this out.

I was trying to find the link for an old post I made asking about this on my server. At the time, nobody knew, and I never followed up. There is a YT out there, can't recall the name, you can dock with. After numerous times trying, I got two separate data manifests, one encoded, one decoded. From there, I was to find these OT-Violators. Asked every pilot I knew, they had never heard of them. I searched EVERYWHERE for them.
Was helping someone to a vette in Kessel when lo and behold, OT Violators on my scope. So I disabled them all, inspected them, and on one I found the next clue.
Anyway, it went on for two more parts. I got some creds at the end. WOHO!
So I don't really know if there is any worthwhile hidden quests, but I have found more than three so far that have interesting stories at least.
That is Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting! So I have a mystery afoot, and things to discover.
I've always wondered why there are NPC's at several starports with the JtL blue circle over their heads that offer no missions. Makes me wonder if those NPC's are content that hasn't been enabled yet.
