I have hiccupped my way through Storm Squadron and now need to get the last tier 3 mission done.

I have tried it6 times now and got very very close each timebut I am just not quite good enough. So I give up.

I really like JTL but this squadron has put me off it for months because it is incredibly hard to solo the third tier. Anyway I am asking for help to complete this. The overall mission time is around 30 mins solo so hopefully a little less, grouped. You come up against mainly lev 3 and 4 a and x wings and you have to disable and kill a gunship at the end. It really is straightforward up to the gunships and even then I almost managed it.

I am in the UK and am looking for help on Wednesday Night starting at 8pm (for my American cousins 8pm is 4 hours earlier than this post - it's just gone midnight here now). I would prefer master pilots but if you feel youare good enough then i would welcome your help. I think neutrals can help as well as imps.

I'd love to get this done so i will pay well. If you can help me complete the mission I will pay you 500k credits for half an hour's work. If we try and fail the mission i will still pay you 100k credits for your time.

Two or three pilots required. If you can help me can you please send me an email on this board or in game and we can set it up.

I am on Corbantis.

Here's hoping!

That was no gunship, it was a Nova. They're not exactly easy, but by no means in the same class as a gunboat. For the first Nova (though you've obviously made it past that one), take out the weapons then deal with the X-Wings. For the second, just blow it to bits first, using strafing runs. What sort of equipment do you have on your ship? If you managed to pass that evil escort before, I wouldn't think THIS would be impossible.

Are you using a droid? The trick to cap ships with escorts is to draw off the fighters and deal with them then come back and deal with the larger ship with no fighter cover....Fighter cover does exactly what it says on the tin....

Get a Flight computerand load a capacitor overload program and a cap to sheild shunt program....A good shipwright normally has these on a seperate vendor.Program these in and away you go.....

Draw off the fighter cover and deal with it....I normally keep the big ship targeted until I am 2k away then turn and hit a couple of pursuing fighters till I start taking damage again then zoom off targeting the big ship again wait till 2k then kill some more escorts rinse and repeat.....This is the safest way of dealing with escorts.....Its good practice for Vette and Gunship runs too...

Novas, YT 1300's and the imp ones can all be dealt with by strafing.....Zoom in at top speed and start shooting I normally target a weapon with the [ key. Fly past the target until you stop taking hits and hit the Cap to sheild hot key if you need too....Then repeat again.....Cap to sheild programs normally have a short recharge and you can hit the button at the end of each strafing run....That should resolve your problem....

Thank you both for the excellent advice. You are right, it is a Nova and yes I have got past the first one on each occassion. I do have a decent droid chip but I do like the straffing idea and cap to shield. I really would like to solo this and will give it a few more goes tonight and tomorrow.

When you say straff at high speed do you mean boosted? The escorts are not really a problem to me but it seems I am hanging around the Nova for far too long.

Thanks.
